Good Saturday morning BCers!

Raining on the hill...

jj, My pulled pork recipe.
4 to 5 lbs of pork shoulder or boneless pork loin.
(I prefer pork loin..less fat)
Mix in bowl...
1/4 cup Dale's steak marinade
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 to 6 shots from the bottle of Louisiana Hot Sauce (depends how much you like spicy)
1 teaspoon liquid smoke (depends how much you like this flavoring you can leave it out or add more)
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (optional...the Dale's already has some in it)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Place pork in crock pot
Poor mixture over pork.
I throw 2 washed green bananas on top (optional) (fakes banana leaf flavoring)
Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.. until meat falls apart.
Remove meat from crock pot to a
big bowl. (throw away the bananas) Let meat cool down.
Shred up meat using hands or fork and scissors.
Remove any fat you find. Once you have it shredded ..dip out some
liquid (a cup or more) from crockpot and pour into shredded meat to make it moist.
Serve on buns with your favorite BBQ sauce. We use Baby Ray's.
Freezes well in zip lock bags.

Morning all
Happy belated Anniversary, Juan and MRS. New purse you say? Google Anuschka bags. Like nothing else you will see. She'll love them.

Finally a good day yesterday!
Delta refunded my miles from the tickets that Bonnie and Cata can't use. They also bumped me to an earlier arriving flight from ATL to CUN. No sense in waiting on the plane from KC cause they won't be on it. All w/o a fee!

Got an updated "new to me" phone from a friend and Verizon switched me over w/o having to go back under contract. BTW, the Verizon add MX and CA calling plan is only 15.00 and I can add it for only the month that I am in MX.

Then I had fabulous BBQ ribs at the restaurant I have been scoping out for employment. I was chatting with the kitchen manager and he jokingly said "Man, I could use someone like you. You don't want a job, do you?" ... Well I DO happen to have a completed application and references with me...[;)]. We discussed several positions where I could be helpful. They said they would call this week for an interview.
My luck was so good that I also bought tickets for every upcoming weekend lottery drawing!

Badger, I think you may have to hunt down all the groundhogs and get rid of them. Hope you feel some warmth soon!

Afternoon Clurks.

Rainy day today here on the hill-less. [:D] That recipe sounds great. and most importantly, easy.

Sitting down with a glass of Chuck's finest. Watching Wolf of wall street tonight.

1Run..happy Anniversary. How about one of those paisley vera bradley bags women like?

Twirls..great work with Delta. My experience with Delta is, they take care of their best customers, and everyone else (me) can eat dirt. [:D] Very surprised they waived the fees. Well done.

I am seriously due for a snorkel trip.

Lots of snorkeling happening end of April/early May Bosco!
Good work with Delta, Twirley.

Dang, the bunch of rain we have forecast is now to be freezing rain - an extended period of it! Rain too and snow, just to complete the cycle.
At least all the snow from Wed. has melted. We've had a couple of days of partly sunny and temps above freezing. It was 50 F this afternoon. [:)] Sure would like more of that. More bball tonight.

AASB 2018 created good memories. Getting ready for 2019!!

ow about one of those paisley vera bradley bags women like?

Yuck(IMO) Real leather and classic.

Feeling pretty grumpy this morning, could you tell? Chris managed to fall and strain a muscle and he's all moany and groany. But he won't go to the doctor, "it's not that bad" (well, then shut the F up) Been playing step 'n fetch and it is wearing thin, especially since he spent the night stealing all the covers again.
Sorry for the rant.
It is supposed to be a fairly nice day...they took the 60F away, but still in the 50s. If Chris remains whiny I think I'll hide outside.
Have a good day
Cindy

Good Morning Campers and Lurkers

One step closer to a trip to Roatan in the fall. I received an email back that there are king beds in Hobbies Hideaway, next door and sharing the dock with the place Pam and Keav stayed.

Sure hope my leg improves quickly so you-know-who does not unleash the monkeys.

I mowed one asparagus bed with the weed whacker and hope to get to the other one today, would like to get some peat and manure on them before the big thaw starts.

Enjoy Sunday

Good Morning!!

1Run I needed some of your fun alternatives friday for a very serious migraine. All I had was magic carpet ride stuff. I hate the residuals the following day. I was in la-la land all day yesterday.

Twirls did you win any money?

PJ Thanks for the recipe. That sounds so easy. I will definitely try that one.

Cindy I certainly feel for you. [sm=hammer.gif]
.... oh, hope you are feeling back on top of the world soon Chris.[sm=mario.gif] Sounds like you might want to consider getting your own personal blankie. Someone might unleash the monkeys if you keep stealing the covers.

Going to be high 70's today. We have yard work on our agenda. [:)]

1Run Hope your anniversary was fabulous!

PJ Your pulled pork is making me drool! Do you deliver??

Cindy Have a Snickers....You are not yourself this morning. [:D] Love those commercials! Did the evil twin escape?

Chris Hobbies is nice...lots less stairs. John and Sue are both real characters and take very good care of their guests. But before you make any final decisions - Keavin wants to have a chat with you.

jj Feel better! Migraines are no fun.

Hola, my name is gmadeb, and i confess, i'm a lurker. And I realize it's waaay past morning. But I feel the time is right for me to come back to the friends here, cause, damnit, I need you folks. I was a bad loco and didn't let anyone know that I was in the Roo last month for a week and then another in San Pedro. Who am I? Trying to just fly under the radar and pretend not to be one of you? Hello!! In my own defense, I was at ABR from 2.11 to 2.15 and didn't see a single loco cooler. No excuse for nothing. I might even try a Trip report at some point. It was a great time away from the sadness that is my life right now. One of the reasons I'm here is because of reading about the Hawk passing. I never met him, but remember reading their TR a while ago and loved the vibe between the two of them. Needa, I feel your pain and wish you the best in what your life will transform into. With your sense of humor and love of life that I can feel you will not only endure, but soar.
Some of you may remember that a couple of years ago I was struggling with the cancer issue that my dear Kenny was going thru. A year and some later after a major surgery to remove a cancer from his throat and the rebuild of said throat, the f****ng cancer has come back with a vengance. The docs have given him a couple of months. On top of that, my job of 17 years will be over in a month or two. So, here I am. Locogringo. Keep ya posted.

Hey Deb, Hi,! So sorry to hear about your Kenny. Sounds like you really deserve the trips and time to yourself. NO NEED FOR APOLOGIES[sm=mini plongeur.png][sm=love.png] we all know that for the caregiver to function, the caregiver needs rest too. Good to see you checking in. How's the kids?

Good Morning!
Feeling optimistic on this last day of *!@#%* March. Got fingers and toes crossed that we will see the last of winter finally.

Talked Chris into using the "Bio-Freeze" gel I get from the chiropractor (like Icy hot, I think) The night before when I suggested it he was like a 4 yr old facing a nasty medicine, but I talked him into it and now he's a believer. Ah, peace.

Hi, GDeb, it's been a while. So sorry for your sorrows.

Where's Badger? Everything OK, Paul? Check in please.

Boob squishing day for me. At least it's only once a year.
Have a great day, all
Cindy

PS-PJ, you reminded me that I had a big chunk 'o pork loin...Thanks! House smells heavenly...tacos al pastor tonight!
