Smile: Weather in Vancouver from Mid May -Sept has been warm and dry

Retirement means Akumal / Caribbean from Nov - mid May  - where to go in October is the question

Very simple

I have been monitoring Pavo for a few years prior to Bernie/Rob visiting this May. Not convinced yet. Too isolated imho

Howdy gang !
Been checking out Pavo as well the last few days. Serious enough to get pricing, types of room and location of rooms.  Thus far, it is a strong possibility.

Glen, you are correct in that the location is more private than Akumal Bay. Of course, many of us rent cars & travel away from the resort fairly often during the vacation.  I like the location as it's is a bit closer to Tulum. Lot to see in Tulum. A ton of choices to eat in town & on the beach.

Some folks want to wait to commit on ABR until there is some feedback from LG'ers that will stay there after all the renovations are complete. I fully understand. I am ready for some place different and if I get the pricing that looks favorable @ Pavo, I'll probably jump on it.

Will let ya know what happens,
Bernie

retirement.....long ways off, would like to move to Southern Ontario right close to one of the Great Lakes, we were lucky enough to have a totally fantastic summer this year too.  We may rent a car this year.  I love the beach in Tulum and the furthest into the town Íve been is walking a few blocks from iTour.  We're all about the beach.

Good communication with the folks at Pavo. The rate for a single is very good for me.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, as I want to see what my miles can snag on the air portion. So far, looks like my dates will be April 28th to May 7th.

George, hope to can join everyone.

Dreaming of the beach and good times with friends !

OK, got my flight down booked on AA miles. Yeah !  Arrive April 28th around 1:30  --- ride share available.
Return booking on hold until Frontier has that month posted; they only go 6 months out.

My next task ( other than laundry ) is to send my reservation request to Pavo.

See ya next year, gang !

Oh, how I wish we could still do late April/early May. We're heading down March 22-30, we have to go over our son's school break. Our air is booked, not sure where we will stay. Hoping we love Vista del Mar!

It will be good to see you and Donna again, Mark.
It's just Ron and I this year. Tim and Thomas have 3 sons now so 1 room no longer works - too expensive.
