Does Tulum have any all inclusive resorts?

I've heard there is a beautiful beach in Tulum. Can you snorkel from the beach?

No AIs thank heavens - there was one at one time, Adonis, which catered to gays, but it had no beach and looked closed when we drove past last month.
Snorkeling is good at Akumal, Tulum is better for boogie boarding and body surfing as it has more wave action since the reef is further out. I've read there are dive shops that will take you out on a boat but have no personal knowledge.

Thanks! It looks beautiful but what a shame there's no beach!

Is Dreams Tuum still not there? or is it just outside Tulum.

Meenie,
Dreams Tulum is just a bit north of the Tulum Ruins.  You can see the ruins (so I've read) from the hotel beach.  Their actual address is listed in Tulum.
Carretera Chetumal-Puerto
Juárez Km. 236.7 No. 1
Tulum, Quintana Roo, México CP 77761

The beaches (not just beach) of Tulum are beautiful. Have been a few times, it's worth a 1/2 day trip! Even if you're not staying in Tulum.

I've never seen anyone actually snorkel from the beach in Tulum. All you would see is sand and maybe a couple of needlefish that tend to chill near the surface.

The lack of snorkeling has always been kind of a deal-killer for us as far as staying in Tulum.

There's just the one All-Inclusive resort along the Tulum beach hotel zone, Adonis, and it's not on sandy beach front, but rather rock front.  All of the resorts that use "Tulum" in their names, are not actually in the town of Tulum or on Tulum beach (but the municipality/county is also called Tulum now), and those include, starting way back in the day with Robinson Club Tulum in the 90's (Xpuha beach), Gran Bahia Principe Tulum (Aventuras Akumal beach), Catalonia Royal Tulum (Xpuha beach), Oasis Tulum (Aventuras Akumal beach) and Dreams Tulum (technically Tankah).  It's great for marketing, of course, but the beach is not the same.  The good thing is that Tulum beach is always a short drive away, no matter where you are on the coast

We really liked Dreams Tulum back in the day before the expansion (2006).  The service was exceptional and loved the 24 hour room service.  But Dreams is not on the Tulum beach, their beach is small, but you can snorkel. Post expansion, we had an awesome time as well, but decided to go to smaller venues.  If you want AI, you won't find it on Tulum Beach.  You might enjoy Dreams and it is only a short cab ride to Tulum.

Not necessarily all-inclusive. But, you might want to check with some of the places with a restaurant to see if they can set you up with some kind of a meal plan.

And I'm pretty sure that some places will allow you to open an account with a credit card and let you charge to your room.

I have tried snorkeling from the beach in Tulum. Not much luck. Mostly sandy bottom. Also, it is usually to wavy for easy snorkeling.
I did try around the rocks in front of Mezzanine several years ago. I don't remember seeing much. There are some rocks out in front of Aminsala that might hold some fish. I haven't tried it though.
