Thank you Badger. Every one of them is a gift for sure.

Thinking of you today BB/Claire.

Excellent job getting the cat situation much improved Twirley. You have really made a difference. Score on the frames!

Joey looks so sweet and Sophie looks so ready to cause trouble. Sorry you got soaked.

Did the toss and turn for about 3.5 hours last night because both the brain and the butt were acting up. Should sleep well tonight.

MB - what does that 3k include? I like the idea of buying the stuff yourself. That way you can not pay anything until the job is finished. Learned that one the hard way long ago.

Howdy and good morning all.

Sun is shining this AM. Jaybirds are screeching about something. You know how a bunch of them get when together. The coast will be mostly sunny today with a high of 91 degrees. Current temp 74F at 7:26. No rain expected until a chance on the weekend.

Yesterday at the lunch hour I stopped at Nell's for a scramble egg sandwich. Afterwards I returned home to avoid the heat and do the one large load of whites and towels. After everything was dry, folded and put away, I decided that Freddie and I needed a nap. She agreed and around 4 o'clock her internal alarm clock said it was time to eat dinner. I didn't go back outside until 7 PM for a neighborhood walk. My goal of one hour walking didn't materialize as I kept stopping to chat with neighbors : Sara was out with her new lab puppy named Summer, Keith/Deb/Brian were on their back deck waiting for the grill to finish cooking hamburgers and lastly I went over to James/Marissa's house to see their new baby girl. No bueno on seeing Mom and baby as it was feeding time and I chatted with James a bit then went back to walking. Shoot, daylight was fading so I went home. I only got about 40 minutes walk done and probably another 40 minutes of "jaw flapping". Hee,hee

Today I plan to do a trip to Myrtle for a Costco run. No beach walk but will try to walk the neighborhood again; this time no stopping.

PJ, sounds like a great vacation for you and SJ. I have never visited Biloxi. Does it have a nice beach ?

Holly, good job on getting the Animal Control folks involved with the cat problem. Did you meet the "cat lady" that is feeding all of those feral cats ?

Cindy, nice to see the pictures of your 'dog' family. I'm sure Joey was glad to be done with wearing those collars plus Sophie was very happy to see him back home. Watch out though, they might get addicted to hot dogs. Hee,hee

Badger, I don't think your idea would be very good for me. First off, me being a bartender ? Ha, like throwing gas on a fire ! Plus hanging around a bunch of grey/silver haired women ?  How could I resist smelling their hair ? ( Joe Biden )  I appreciate your thoughts. Ha,ha,ha

Time to get ready for the day. I would like to get to Costco and back before the afternoon traffic hits.

See y'all,
Bernie

Good morning BCers!
Lovely morning here.  Had my first cup of coffee on the porch while the pets did yard patrol.
The checkup at heart doc went well.   Sonogram showed a small amount of leakage to do with the heart valve.
Not enough to worry about at this point.  Doc was more interested in my left leg.  I have a silver dollar sized
purple spot on my leg.  Been there for well over 30 years.  Had blood poisoning from splashing miracle grow on
the leg while gardening.  Which made a chemical burn.  On top of that the worst case of poison ivy.
A most miserable experience.  He wanted to argue with me about what the purple spot could be.
Whatever!

Twirls,  nice job on getting something done about the feral cats and kitties.

Bernie,  There is a large span of beach and park near the casinos in Biloxi.
Nice for taking a walk.  But the locals don't advise getting in the water.
Enjoy your shopping trip at Cosco today.  Beautiful flowers!

C&C,  Sophie and Joey sure are beautiful dogs.  Love their coloring.
Happy for Joey to be done with the cone.
Have the same deal here when lil doggie gets her allergy pill in a piece of hotdog.
The cat wants some too.

Crunch,  sorry you didn't get much sleep last night.

BeachBilly,  thinking of you.  Pray your day is filled with beautiful memories.  Hugs

Morning all

I was woke up by an early call from Masterbuilt regarding the electric control unit for the smoker, which died.  I've been calling and leaving messages for over a week.  They are sending a new control for free!  Another lucky break!

PJ, glad you were pleased with your Dr visit but still sounds a bit scary to me.  Enjoy the beautiful day.

We we supposed to have a few days of sun and NO RAIN.  NOPE.  We had a beautiful day yesterday but woke to clouds and chances of rain today.

Badger, I know you hate what you consider hot weather without a tropical ocean breeze!

Speaking of tropical breeze, I've been looking at airfare for this winter.  Thinking of going later in November.  It's early to be finding a bargain rate for air.  I've debated an earlier fall trip to maybe Charleston but just depends.  I hate to leave during pool season here but if it's going to be cool and rainy then...

I see that Illinois has legalized recreational MJ as of 1-1-20!  That's when MO Medical MJ is supposed to be available.  Sooner or later they will all get on the tax benefit wagon!  I never thought I would see this in my lifetime!

Bernie, yes, I've met the cat lady.  She's about 85 and somewhat looney.  She thinks it still gets dark at 5:30!  AND she didn't realize that she had a dead cat in her yard which was in plain sight.

Good evening all.  83 and partly cloudy.  Barely a leaf moving.  Headed up to grocery store early. Back home for a bite to eat and then I made the mistake of taking advantage of TJ Maxx's free shipping today. Ordered a few items, a couple of them in two different sizes with my recent weight gain.  Easy fix to return the wrong size to brick y mortar down the road.  Just finished watering outdoor flowers and cleaning the new patio furniture.  Will be firing up the charcoal grill in a few hours.  Spoke to youngest brother today.  He quit a job that he was top sales person.  Couldn't handle the stress from the other sales associates acting out and ostracizing him.  He was offered a job today by a firm five minutes from his home.  His former commute was over one hour and he was burning up a lot of fuel in his pick-up.  Happy for him.  He his headed out to Mt. Rushmore with Holly to celebrate their wedding anniversary.  Fun, fun.

Cindy, the heat is on now.  High '90s here by Sunday.  Be careful working in that heat and humidity.  Gotta say that those two pups are damn lucky to have you both.  I know Joey gets it.

Bernie, lilies and crepe myrtle sure look pretty.  I went all out this year with flowers and happy I did so.  My only poor choice was the marigolds for back two tier rock garden.  I didn't realize how shady that area had become and they really aren't doing a whole lot.  Oh well.

Claire, been thinking about you today.  Hugs.

PJ, you have such a beautiful setting.  I feel like your home is almost a "tree house" with all the lovely woods/views.  Look forward to lots of pics of your upcoming trip.  Happy to hear valve is still in the acceptable range.  If I may ask, which one was it you had replaced?  My mitral valve has some leakage but within the acceptable range.

Hey where's Bobski?  Must be having too much fun to check in.

Badger and all.  Sorry I was not more clear on my project.  Here is the bid from first contractor.  Still waiting on the other.

BTW, finally picked up the phone today and talked to service manager at Renewal by Anderson.  Been putting that call off for quite some time.  Never should have gone to bed with those folks.  Biggest mistake ever......coming out on July 9th.  I will not be the nice guy this time around.

Crunchie, can't wait till your chronic pain issue is resolved.  Just the short time I experienced that sciatic pain I had to really concentrate on not getting down in the dumps.    And that brings me to Frank....please check in more regularly.

Don't even remember who else commented today so hello to everyone.  Have a beautiful evening. MB

Good Morning Clubbers, it's Thirstday.

Bernie, I actually met Babs while on a part-time bartending job and you actually should not drink while working at one, and I think you would be very good at it with your quick wit and outgoing personality.
Also, if you limit your choices only because of age or hair color you might be missing out on some mighty fine ladies. Just sayin'.

Yes, Twirls, you're right, I don't do well with heat and humidity, it got up to 85 yesterday and we actually quit a little early because we ran out of water.

MB, Now I really wish I lived closer to you, that quote seems to be about twice what it should be.

Crunch, I am so hoping that your surgery brings you instant and lasting relief!

Heading out of town for a job today, but will be home sometime tomorrow.

Good Morning
A bit hazy this morning, but not the fog that NOAA said would be here. Going up to 88 today, and humidity is climbing as well. Was pretty much out like a light when my head hit the pillow last night after a full day of pulling weeds. Found a phone message from Marilyn this am left at 9:30 last night. Did not even hear the phone ring! Sometime today will be driving to pick her up. Will wait to call her back until a more civilized hour.

Nice to be able to let the dogs out and not worry, that invisible fence is worth every penny. Joey is such a sweetie, and puts up with so much from Sophie. She is constantly leaping on him, chewing his ears and pulling his tail. When he has had enough, he'll just roll over onto her and she has to squirm her way out from under him. Pretty funny to watch.

Gosh, MB, that quote does seem awful high. Hope you can find a more reasonable contractor.
Crunch, I too am praying that the surgery will be the end of the pain in the butt. It's never a good day when you don't get the sleep you need.

Twirls, our new governor here would like to legalize, too. Unfortunately he is working with an opposition State house, and they are thwarting him every chance he gets.

Need to get going, have a wonderful day, all
Cindy

Howdy and good morning everyone.

Sun is fighting off the clouds this AM but not to worry as Mr. Sun will be shining brightly in less than an hour. Today's beach forecast is mostly sunny skies with a high of 89 degrees. Currently it is 75F at 6:47

No beach stroll yesterday. Started my Costco run by first filling my truck at Lowe's Foods at their gas station. I had 20 cents off a gallon that was due to expire soon. Not usually the place I get gas as it's only a mile to the beach and always higher than in Shallotte. But with my discount shopping for food, the end price was $ 2.20 per gallon. The trip to Costco was uneventful and even with the crowds, I made it out quickly. After Costco I made a stop to buy some fireworks while in South Carolina. Since I had no frozen or refrigerated food, I stopped at Fibber's for a late lunch before heading home. I walked the neighborhood starting at 7 PM and was done in 55 minutes. No stops to chat with neighbors.

Today I will get my shopping done for sale items at Lowe's Foods. No beach walk. Trash day today, in case anyone missed it. hee,hee

Thanks PJ. I do like my crape myrtles when they flower. I will try to remember to get a couple of pictures of my two up front and the other one on the back-side of the house ( this one has really grown in only two years ).

MB, I found it interesting that your bid for work didn't include removal of old material. Would the contractor quote removal if you didn't want to do it yourself ?

Thanks for the input, Badger. I never knew how you and Babs met. I don't really care about hair color and my age group I selected on the dating sites ( yes, I have two now that are used ) is 58 to 68. That last lady that I met on a date in Myrtle Beach was 68.

Cindy, good that Joey has such nice manners while putting up with Sophie.

Time to get the trash.
See y'all,
Bernie

Morning all

MB, I didn't think your estimate was horrible but I would shop around for more estimates.  His estimate was to explicit about EXACTLY what he would do for that amount.  What if he encounters a problem like repair to the floor under the carpet? I've seen water damage under bathroom carpet that you would't have suspected.   I didn't like that it didn't include removal of debris.  I have about $8,000 (labor and material, which I furnished and are included in the $8000.)  in a TOTAL bath remodel except removing and replacing the tub.  That was resurfaced.  That included removing the tile that was everywhere, a separate shower stall and the entire vanity and toilet.  Repair to the floor and installing new tile to the ceiling around tub and 1 wall near the toilet.   Painting, Etc, Etc...  The whole enchilada...  and it was about 5 years ago and involved more than 1 contractor for the various parts of the job.  Removing the existing tile and repair to the surface was a big part of that.  The cost of ultra modern "floating" double vanity with sinks, faucets, mirrored cabinets was $1200. on sale.  Same style is now $2500.
Badger is definately cheaper (BY FAR) for everything he has done for me and I don't know how he makes a living on what he charges but meals and a place to stay was included.  He didn't even charge extra for breaking up a cat fight between myself and the former tenant at my mom's!  I was going to try to kill her if he had let me but since she was a foot taller and out weighed me by about 150 lbs, he would have had to whoop her ass to get her off of me!  However I wasn't backing down because I knew he had my back and I was mad as burning HELLO!

I finally got worked back into my massage therapist's schedule so I had a great massage yesterday.  I've been at least 4 days without even an ibuprofen.  It hasn't been easy but I've powered through.

Joey seems to be smiling big in his recent pictures.  They are 2 blessed doggies to have such a good home!

I intended to watch the debate last night.  I told Chris he had to watch it in another room as I didn't want to hear his commentary and I knew he wouldn't keep his mouth shut.   I fixed us a good dinner of scallops with garlic, lemon juice, white wine, asparagus tips and chopped tomatoes over linguine.  Aldi had big sea scallops on a 1 day sale so I picked up a few packages yesterday.  After dinner my eyes were sleepy so I layed down on the couch to "rest my eyes" for a few minutes before the debate.  Next thing I knew it was 11 PM.

Bernie, everyone is sincerely trying to help you find the woman of your dreams.  I have repeatedly tried to tell you as kindly as possible that you ain't no Sam Elliot and you ain't rich enough to attract the women you want.  I do so want to see you happily involved.  You've refused to listen to any of us.  My last suggestion in our private conversation would really help you find the type of woman you want.   And I think Badger's idea of tending bar somewhere casual would be great.  I know you aren't going to join any church groups for the same reason I don't.  But hobbies involving others like bowling, dancing or other activities are a good idea.  Things where women hang out... Book stores and clubs, Art showings, music performances, Senior citizen dances etc....  What about a boating club?  Or a cat club.  You love cats and so do lots of women.  Or cards?  Lots of women play cards...NOT STRIP POKER!  Sexual inuendo, even jokingly,  of any kind is not acceptable in today's world and will get you a quick door slam in the face!  And HANDS off!   A woman will let you know if she wants you.  Women know you already want them.  Let them make the first move.  They call the moves, NOT YOU! I still think an escort service is not a bad idea under the existing circumstances.  It worked out well in the movie Pretty Woman, but then you aren't Richard Gere.    Happy hunting!

Today is "supposed" (THE key word in the late forecasts) to be sunny, hot and humid.  No plans so a pool day unless something comes up.

Good morning BCers!
Rain off and on today with a high temp of 85F expected.
SJ and I went to Memphis last night to see Peter Frampton at the Orpheum.
Had a nice dinner at the Majestic Diner.  Very busy there.  So we sat at the bar.
SJ had the Seared Tuna and I had the Honey Lemon Salmon.
Both served with grilled asparagus and house salad Yum!   The appetizer of Tempura shrimp on a skewer served with
sweet chili sauce was also very good.  The shrimp were huge.  Did have a "Pretty Woman' scene when I was using my fork
to push the shrimp off the skewer.  That baby shot right off the skewer across the bar.  In front of the two
ladies sitting next to me.  Then landed in a stainless steel slot beside the beer taps!
Sheepishly looked at the two ladies and said, "slippery little sucker".  We all lost it!
The bartender came to see what all the laughing was about.  With a rye grin...said something to me about playing with my food.
Picked up the shrimp with a bar napkin and offered it back to me.  The stainless steel was very clean.  So I took it.
Then he winked and said nice shot!  Usually goes right over the bar onto the floor.  Lost it again.
Peter Frampton concert was great!  I love some of his songs and instrumentals.  Who are you and Don't get fooled again.
Not so much on the screaming guitar...head bangin numbers.  SJ is a big fan.  He loved every second of it.

We have been down to just the truck the last couple of days.  The Ford Focus took out on SJ at work on Tuesday.
Wouldn't start at quitting time.  He drove the production van home and back to work in the morning.
Then I drove the truck into town to pick him up for the concert in Memphis.  Came back home in the truck.
One of the guys at work figured out his problem.  A tiny $20 part to do with starter system.
The part had to be ordered. Will be in today.  Two minutes to install.  The car should be good to go after that.
I'll have to go back to town with SJ in the morning.  Drop him off at work.  He will bring the car home at the end of the workday.
All that being told.  The driveway is empty.  Was empty most of yesterday.
Since we didn't get home until near 1 a.m. was sleeping in.  I woke up to my brother calling for lil doggie
from downstairs.  Since there were no vehicles in the driveway for most of yesterday and this morning.
He thought I had gone to see Katie or something.  Left the dog alone.  Came to rescue her.
As they know she doesn't like to be left alone.  I should have told them about our plans and car problem.
Thankful that my brother and his wife do watch over us.

MB,  I haven't had any heart valves replaced.  Just the Afibs diagnosis which is controlled with Cardizem LA.
Slightly high blood pressure controlled with Hydrchlorothiazide.
Doc didn't really go into which valve is leaking.  Just mentioned it when looking at results of the sonogram.
To which I mentioned if valve needed replacing.  He should note on my chart that cow parts cannot be used.
He said no worries we are a long way off from needing to replace any valves.  Good!
Will try to get some pics of flowers this weekend.  Still working on more plantings.  Plus making Mr. Clutter (SJ)
clean up all the items he has left on the porch. LOL
Which turned into a whole nother funny conversation.  I told him that I would like him to put all the carp laying on
the porch away.  He said defensively, well I have been waiting for you to help me fold that tarp.
Hmmm....do I wait for you to come home to fold a king size sheet and put it away?
That tarp is smaller than the sheet.  Lay it flat on the porch and fold it!  Nice try...but don't throw the ball back in my court.
To which he said so sweetly, OK  Pamela darling I hear yah.  Which brought peels of laughter from me.  Then him as well.
The first time he has called me by my real name in a very long time.  Much less call me darling.
Way to knock me off my high horse and melt my heart.  He is such a stinker!    Yes, I ended up helping him.

I have accomplished nothing so far today.
Time to get a move on.   Wishing everyone a beautiful day!

Good afternoon.  T-storm moved in around 10 a.m. so I postponed my appointment with kitchen/bath folks to look at over the range microwaves and a new dishwasher until the rain let up.  Everything made sooooo cheaply these days so decided to stay with what I have.  It blends in very nicely with the stainless french door fridge and stainless range.  Got another bid sent to me but he did not include all the items we discussed.  So I made up a new list of all items needing attention and scanned it to him via email.  He will take a look at it this evening as he bid out the project on a hourly basis not to exceed "X" amount of hours at his hourly rate.  Interested to see if he makes any adjustments.

Badger, here is my detailed list of what I would like the contractor to handle.  Is that pretty typical that homeowner is responsible for disposal?  Didn't have to be concerned when downstairs was finished off much later than house was built so I never really gave it much thought before.

Here is the other contractor's before and after bid after he reviewed my complete list of to do's.

Trying to wrap my head around the two different estimates....$3,000 opposed to $520.  Struggling with this one.  Feel free to chime in.

PJ, what a fun evening for you both.  Sounded like a lovely date night.  Glad the Ford fix was inexpensive.  Your brother sounds like a great guy.

Holly, the scallops sound yummy.  Pablito loved them but I did enjoy them wrapped in bacon and broiled.  Sure do miss that grilled pez in PM.  Think you should definitely go south this fall.  I gotta book my March airline tickets one of these days.  I was toying around with a quick trip in August but with all my upcoming house projects perhaps not.  Will see.

Cindy, that t-storm this morning really cooled the temps just like that.  Might have another round this evening.  Took all my hanging baskets down on deck as they were saying hail and 60 mph winds which did not materialize, thankfully.  Lots of rainy days forecast here this coming week.  Ugh.

Bernie, it was nice to hear that your sister has met someone she enjoys spending time with.  Super cool he lives on the water.  Know several folks in MN that winter in FL and live on their huge boats moored in marinas during MN summers.  Hard to believe the 4th of July is a week away.  Meredith and family will be visiting before you know it.

Hi to all I've missed.  Be well.  MB

Hi all,

Short post, had cataract surgery yesterday on left eye, still very blurry today, doctor said I have some swelling and it will go down, how long depends on fate or whatever.

PJ, sounds like a wonderful trip the two of you had.

I agree Joey looks very happy now.

Nice pics, Bernie. See if there are any gardening classes near you, at the community college or something. My Dad took gardening classes a real long time ago at the local high school and we had the most beautiful rose gardens both front and back yards, must have been 3 dozen bushes easily.

What a time of late. Spent a bunch of time in Acadia, then came back and did some hiking locally. I'm lacking in the picture department. I did get a pair of new tubes for my bike. One to replace the flat one, and one for a spare, as well as mini bike pump. Decades, I have gone without the need for these, and now.... Oh well.

In between all this recreational time, I have painted both bathrooms on the first floor and the bedroom. The next area is the living/Dining/Kitchen area. I have painted all the doors on the first floor and will tackle windows next. I'm breaking this job into smaller pieces, due to all the furniture. Next, I'll push out the furniture and do the baseboard. After that, it is total upheaval, move the furniture out and paint the ceilings and walls. I'm a little disappointed in the bedroom color. The new curtains and bedspread might make the color pop, but I suspect I'll repaint the bedroom walls. It won't be as big a job as I don't have to do the ceiling, doors, windows or trim again.

Tomorrow, my buddy is supposed to come over with his tractor and help me set some granite slabs for my rear steps. 7 slabs, each weighing 600 lbs. I'm looking forward to completing this one. I want the stack of granite out of my driveway and am looking forward to getting rid of the old wooden steps.

Today, it looks like a quick hike at a small mountain locally, maybe 3 miles total. I did 5 across 2 mountains Wednesday with my brother. When I get back, I do some around the house stuff.

PJ, all this talk of hearts and valves is concerning, but it sounds like it is under control. Crunch came thru her issue with flying colors. Pretty clever these doctors these days!

MB, I'd be wary of the low cost estimate you received. That just seems too low. I've always wanted to get 3 bids at a minimum. That way, you can see if one bid is out of whack, either high or low. It's good that they are clearly spelling out what they plan to do, but i'd probably get a couple more bids on it. (Who am I kidding, I'd do it myself, that's my trade!!! LOL!).

Okay. gotta run, you folks have a great day now!

Lovin life,
Bob

Howdy and good morning everyone.

Skies nice and bright this AM but turning to mostly cloudy later today. Current temp is 74F at 7:23 and the high should be 88 degrees.

Yesterday I shopped sales and staples at Lowe's Foods, return home to put same away and then off to get lunch at Fibber's. Had a nice walk around the neighborhood last evening from 7:30 to 8:30.

Stopped at Brooks & Sara's house on my first loop of my walk; wanted to deliver three large cans of Busch baked beans. That's my small food contribution towards their 4th of July BBQ. It will actually be held on July 5th, as they will be boating all day with their family. That night we will do our neighborhood firework show off the pier. I purchased two boxes of mortar shells ( total 48 of the 5" shells ). Brooks said he will be driving down to S.C. this afternoon to get more fireworks.

 No plans for today.

Will get outside shortly and capture a couple of pictures of my large crape myrtles in front of the house and my smaller one on the side of the house.

Catch y'all later,
Bernie

HMMM.... No C & C?  Or Badger?

PJ, Funny story about your shrimp.  I can see that unfolding and the LOL!  I giggled too!  Glad you enjoyed the concert.  He was not one of my favorites.  I hear The Stones are touring again.  I might go if they get close.  One of the very few bands I didn't see way back then.

Jamie, glad you are getting your eyes done.  I'm so glad I did.

Beautiful Crepe Myrtles, Bernie.  GARDENING CLUBS!!!    That's a fantastic idea for you!  Women abound there!   I've been to some!

Looks like pool weather is finally here.  Friends called to come swimming later today.  I asked if they wanted to stay for dinner.  Yes, of course.  (They used to come to my restaurant)  I gave them a few choices and mentioned the CRAB LEGS but explained that I was not giving them away...too expensive.   I hate to charge people but they aren't my closest friends and they didn't mind paying the price.  They've heard me talk about how good they were and they contemplated buying some so this way they can try before they order.  I'll bet we end up splitting another order!  I must be on a seafood kick because last night I had a craving for fried fish with malt vinegar!
I almost forgot about the Thursday Farmer's market.  I realized I was missing it about 5:30 while floating in the pool.  Jumped up, threw on some clothes and went.  Got a few more tomatoes, green beans, homemade pickles and different kinds of lettuce.    Came home and ate my fish with cottage cheese and Cherokee Purple tomatoes!

A very sad a disturbing thing has happened.   At the massage therapist, I realized that Mom's silver ball ring was missing from my finger!  It must have slipped off somewhere in the recent days before that.  We are looking and I am very hopeful it will turn up.  It has a history of disappearing and reappearing so ....  Otherwise I will be just SICK that its gone.  I know it was on my finger a few days before.  It could be anywhere.

Good morning BCer!
Blue sky and a high temp of near 90F expected today.
After a slow start yesterday.  I did finally get it in gear and did some chores.
Dealership ordered the wrong part for the car.  Focus is still sitting at SJ's workplace.
Hopefully, get it fixed today.  Then tomorrow we will drive the truck into town and bring the car home.
Been wanting to go to the farmers market.  This will be my chance to go while we are in Jackson
retrieving the car.

Jamie,  hope your eye heals quickly.  Hugs

MB, quite the work order you have lined up to accomplish this summer.  Pray it all gets accomplished to your liking.

Uphill,  good luck with the moving the granite slabs tomorrow.  Should look really nice at your backdoor.
Will last forever.

Bernie,  beautiful crape myrtles.  Love that the blooms last so long on those bushes.
My variegated crape myrtle is just starting to put on the buds for blooming.
Sounds like a fun neighborhood 4th of July celebration in the planning.

Twirls,  enjoy your pool day and dinner with friends.

Bernie, those trees are looking good! I love that down south, the trees flower with color. We have .... green, here. I took a short hike today, just wanted to get out. Here are some pictures of.... green!
A nice pool:

This is Hidden Falls

A nice cascade on the stream:

And another nice waterfall

I was rewarded for my hike with this view:

And on the way down, I saw a side trail and got to see this:

Like I said, green!

Lovin life,
Bob

Good Afternoon
Had a very bad storm early this morning, lots of thunder and lightning.  Internet was down, and I still can't get it on my PC. Using Chris' right now. Have tried EVERYTHING. Hope I can get it back on before boat drinx this evening. And Hollly? Remember Paul said he was going out of town for a job yesterday, and wouldn't be back until sometime today. Pretty sure that is why he didn't post.

Sun has come out, gonna get the dogs outside for a bit, then make a quick run to town for some groceries.
Cindy
