Good morning BCers!
Cloudy with a nice breeze.  High temp of 88F.  First heatwave!  A/C is on.
Woke up very early.  Morning chores are already finished.
Enjoying my coffee and trying to decide what to do next.

Bernie,  hoping SJ will get the bass boat out and take me fishing this weekend.
The pontoon boat will take a bit of cleaning and maintenance before launching.

C&C,  So looking forward to seeing pics of your new puppy.

Bernie, You are a chick magnet! And some of it rolled off onto me. Last night, Fabiola was walking down the hall towards her hut and saw me and came over and gave me a hug, right after she hugged Laurie! Good idea using mechanical advantage on the tree. Truck and wheel barrow!

Today is the last full day at the Fiesta Americana. Tomorrow, we head to the Melia for a couple days. I will check it out good and do up a report on the place.

When we go on vacation, we don't want another souvenier or trinket, but we do want to preserve some memories. What we have been doing over the past recent years is getting a plaque with some of what we saw this year. The artist uses spray paint and will customize a picture for you while you wait. This is what we got this year, along with the inspiration for the plaque. The first day snorkeling, we saw 3 elusive spotted eagle rays, and we saw a good many starfish at Cielo.

Gotta snorkel, have a great day all!

Bob

Just yesterday, Anjelica asked if there was anything else they could do for us. I jokingly suggested an octopus when we snorkel, and she delivered! And some of the other sights from today!

I finally got a good picture of some Glassy Eyed Sweepers:

A shy squirrel fish

I also found this egg case, it looks like an industrial pipe. I don't know if it is conch, skate or ray.

And we happened upon a lion fish

As well as an eel or three

Found a different puffer

Good Morning
Sunny isn't ringing true for me. CC suggested Sophie; ('cuz she matched the sofa) I kinda like it. What do you think? She is certainly a ball of energy now. She did well in the kennel crate overnight, not much crying or whimpering. Probably used to that from being kenneled at the humane society.

She is not going to let me sit here very long, and I need to get the laundry started.
Have a wonderful day!

Howdy and good morning everyone.

Nice and sunny out this AM. What a great day to take the Lillie Mae out for the first run this season. The current temp is 68F at 7:08 with a high of 82 degrees.

Yesterday I got the new crape myrtle planted. Just need another bag of soil to finish packing around the root ball before I put down the weed barrier and rocks this weekend.

Today it will be only me and Chet on the boat as Bryan had some work to do. My plan is to get going around noon, which is high tide. I will head North to the Southport area to eat at the Dead End Salon and Restaurant, although not sure if they have opened yet for the season. If not, I'll head to Fishy Fishy.
Should be a good run to use up some of that old gas. I'll get some fresh gas just before I put the boat back into the storage yard. Camera already on the kitchen counter next to my phone to remind me to bring it along.

Cute puppy, Cindy. She will make a fine addition to your family.

  Hi Badger. Bye Badger. hee,hee.

Hi Bob and hi Crunch. Enjoy your vacation on Coz.

Time to get the trash out.

Talk to y'all later,
Bernie

Happy Thursday!

Bernie....Will you also be getting a hair cut at the Dead End Salon?

C&C...Beautiful puppy. Sunny or Sophie, each are great names!

Twirls...Sorry for your awful weather.

Crunch...I swore off tequila after my 19th birthday. There is no hangover quite like a tequila hangover. I'll have a margarita , but no way I can drink that stuff straight

I'm still potting away. I did good yesterday. Bought more potting mix and no more flowers!

Have a great day everyone!

Enough already.  STORMS, TORNADOES, FLOODING
I am really getting worried as there seems to be no end to it.  Another night of storm alerts on my phone.  Sitting up until wee hours glued to TV storm reporting.  My tornado shelter now has 5" of water that I think it coming up from the ground, even though it's concrete.  Don't know if the sump pump fried or what.  It had been damp so we had a fan running in it.  Just before bed I heard something strange and the fan was sitting on the floor in the water.  Thankfully the motor was still above water and I could stand on the stairs and pull the plug.  I pulled the fan up by the cord.  Went to sleep still trying to watch the weather tracking.  Woke about 4 to thunder and more torrential rain.  This morning is the news of all the destruction and deaths.  My nerves are shot.  I'm having strange uncomfortable dreams when I do sleep.  Ground water is so high and unstable that I'm worried about sinkholes swallowing homes, which has happened here before.

Good morning BCers!
Partly cloudy and going to be a warm day with temps in 90s.
Didn't do much yesterday.  My back was aching.  Feeling much better this morning.
Appointment for a checkup with lung doc this afternoon.  He moved his office to Paris, TN.
Near Kentucky Lake.  Should be a nice drive through the countryside.
There is a big greenhouse that I also want to visit.  Maybe get the hanging baskets for the porch.

Twirls, glad you are ok.  Was watching the radar last night.  Concerned for your area and for my
family in Central Illinois.  Also family in Tulsa, OK.  Those were some mean storms.

C&C,  the new puppy is adorable.  I like the name, Sophie.

Bernie, your magic at work again! This morning, we were watching a woman posing for pictures with her mother(?), in various places and poses on the railing over the water. It was fun watching and I kinda wanted to suggest a few stagings for better pictures. Basically, it was her, in a bikini, with a back drop of water, and swim buoys. Having worked with a photographer in the past, I wanted to suggest a slightly different angle that eliminated the buoys and added in some palm trees. And untie your hair and let it down, there is just a slight hint of a breeze that would work wonders. But that'd be creepy of me, so I didn't. Still it was fun to watch.

And then she hung over the railing in such a way, that she couldn't get safely back over. Bear in mind, there are rocks and some waves below her. Her mother tried to help her back, but it simply wasn't happening. Then she waved for helped. I looked, no one was moving and I jumped and ran to help her. She wanted to gently take my hands and that simply wasn't working, so I said, "Here" and basically put my arms around her to get a good hold of her. She says are you okay with this and I gripped her, ever so gentlemanly as I could given the situation and placed her safely on the ground. She is a light little thing and I had no problem gently and politely "man handling" her a bit. They thanked me and I went back to my seat, and the table next to us complimented my rescue efforts.

All is well and they continued the photo shoot. Did my good deed for the day!

Lovin life,
Bob

Mornin BCrs

Picked up our little puppy Zoey yesterday she is 4 lbs of cuteness at 10 wks old. A real cuddler and loves to sleep close to you. She did very well on the car ride, we are so blessed with this little girl.  Ya I balled when I first held her and she licked my tears of joy.

Congrats C&C on your new lab pup, very cute, good luck with the name decision.

Sorry to hear about your nasty weather and flooding.

Will get up some photos as I can, very busy and have the kids coming this weekend. Taking off the snow tires today, think it's safe now.

Everyone make it a good day.

What a pretty dog, C&C, I kind of like Sophie, a little old fashioned sounding which is nice.

Hope Bernie and Chet had a nice boat ride and lunch today, weather sounded good for it.

Twirley, I was worried about you when the noon news had pictures of flooding someplace in Missouri (Golden or something like that). Stay safe and sound, is driving out of town an option?

Good luck at the Dr PJ, hope SJ can take you out on the boat over the weekend. Nothing like "messing around on boats".

Coming along slowly with the new phone, managed to make 3 calls today but when the grocery delivery guy came this morning, was not able to get the number keypad on the screen so I could buzz the front door open despite swiping like crazy. Just can't seem to get the screen I want. Bought 4 pints of ice cream so some more training sessions with neighbor David are in store.

Son Ed sent me a gift certificate at Amazon as a belated Mothers Day thank you, called him to send thanks (did not have a current email for him). Think I may order some CBD for my back since our Nanny State has made it so difficult to get a mild pain pill like Tramadol without jumping through a million hoops. The excuse my Dr. gives me is people abusing opioids, IMO it is pure "natural selection" at work.

Good evening.  57 and cloudy but a dry day. More rain expected tomorrow. Been busy the last couple of days looking at new light and plumbing fixtures, a new vanity and top for upstairs bath, new toilet.  Also looked at a newer detached one level townhouse, similar size to my home, with HOA beautifully appointed close to where I live.  Big negative was the noise from the interstate which totally turned me off. Some seriously dangerous weather as of late.  Stay safe all.

Crunchie, you look great and definitely not too thin.

Bernie, hope you had a fun day on the water.

Bob, good thing you were there to assist the young gal.  Have been enjoying all your pics.

Twirls, be safe.  Horrible photos from the storm in Missouri, Oklahoma and other states.

PJ, will be nice for you to get out on the water as well.  Enjoy.

Cindy, your new pup looks so pretty.  My vote is Sophie.

Badger, dang hope you get a bit of down time over the Memorial weekend.

SoSo, precious Zoey.  I'm sure that four pounder is melting your hearts.

Edit: While on lawn pickup this afternoon for twigs, I encountered the resident doe down by the pond. Put a smile on my face.

Good Morning Clubbers, it's Friday.

I think that Sophie is a beautiful name!

Bernie, we need boating pix.

Twirls, you may want to have a small sump pump installed in your tornado shelter, I hate to think of you needing it and not being able to use it.

Soso, puppy pix would be nice.

Any of you facebookers able to post pix of Crunch & Tomas, please?

Jamie, I sure hope you find something that helps with your pain.

MB, I've got so much work lined up right now that I don't know when I'll be able to take a day off, it's supposed to rain today but I have  a waiting list of people who need inside work done.

Boat Drinx tonight!

Good Morning
Have a cuddly Sophie on my lap. Typing one handed is challenging.

A little rainy this morning, very bad weather for tonight. Severe storms with the possibility of golf-ball size hail. Some areas may see tornadic activity. Yikes.

Need to get going, have a wonderful day!

Howdy and good morning everyone.

Sunny skies this AM and it will be a great day for the beach folks : The high will hit 91 degrees and the current temp is 73F at 7:13

Yesterday was a super day to be out on the water. Chet and I got the boat underway at 10:45. The ICT was calm and not very many other boats heading North. Chet had discovered that the Dead End Saloon was closed and for sale. Shame, as is was a good place to eat and easy access to dock a boat. No problem as we just continued to travel a few miles further to the town of Southport and docked at Fish Fishy. Chet got a chicken sandwich and I got a salmon sandwich. It took a fairly long time to place our order and for the food to get served. Then our waiter guy brought Chet a hamburger instead of the chicken he ordered. Something was definitely off and their wait staff seemed be a little confused. Maybe this was their opening day of the season but it wasn't too crowded. No food porn taken, as neither one of us was very impressed with it.

Time to return back to the launch point. Chet got a chance to drive the boat back and he really liked to 'hammer down' on the straight portions. The max GPS speed was 39.2 mph; got about 2/3 of my older gas consumed and the engine ran smoothly. Chet helped to clean the boat at my house and also helped to put the cover on at the storage lot. It was almost 5 o'clock when I dropped off Chet at his place. Little to much wind and sun yesterday but it was fun to get the Lillie Mae out again.

Today I'll probably make a quick run to Walmart for a few items and get a hair cut while I'm out. I believe I will wait until early evening for a neighborhood walk.

Hi Beach Billy. Hi Pam T. Hi Jamie. SoSo, will need a few pictures of new puppy.

MB, looking at a future move ?  Surprised you haven't thought to change for a warmer climate.

Hey Badger, didn't take many boat pictures yesterday. I'll post a few shortly.

Cindy, what does your new pup think of all that open space around the house ?  I was thinking about a name for the new puppy. How about Lucy ? I was watching an old rerun of a black and white " I Love Lucy " TV show last week.  Maybe that will fit her ?

 Time to scoot.
Y'all have a good one,
Bernie
