Frank, I am REALLY disappointed in you!!! I thought I would wait until after they lopped off your arm to ask you to send me all of your right handed gloves that you could no longer use, now I'll have to buy my own.

Good Morning Clubbers, it's Twosday.

Up at 1 am yesterday, left town at 5 and arrived here just before 11. Managed to get quite a bit done and think we can finish today. Cindy made an awesome pot roast and then we shared a few (?) glasses of vino.

Crunch, I am so glad you got some relief!!!

Gotta run.

Wag more....bark less.

Where is everybody? Hello............................................................

I am so over this rain.  Just rainy and cold like the middle of winter.  Yuck.  Dogs don't like it either!

Share a suitcase?  I dunno Soso.  That would be hard for me.  I dress moodily and need options.  Nothing in Mexico fits me either LOL.

Good luck today Twirley.

9 more days BB?  Sure hoping your mom finds some relief.

Morning all

SOSO, What time did you post?  It's not quite 7am here and your post shows 4 hours ago!

It was a pretty miserable evening and night!  Getting prepared for this test today.  Whatever it is, is hurting bad now that I've been thoroughly hosed out.  The clean out was bad enough.  Of course I didn't sleep.  I'll be glad to just get it over with.  Yesterday I was starving and drooling over every food commercial.  Now I'm not even hungry because I hurt so bad.  It's not even dawn yet.  I'm trying to finish this yucky stuff in the next 30 minutes.  I doubt I need to.

Cindy and Badger are late posting.

Beach Billy - I did some research and synovial cysts are commonly found in the knee also.  Have them check mom for it.

SoSo... That is so true

Crunch...She was just at her GP yesterday and he pulled up her MRI. He said her back was a mess. A lot of degeneration with a bulging disc. He has prescribed her Lyrica to see if that helps. The only saving grace is it doesn't hurt when she lays down or sits. At least she can sleep. November 30 is my last day!

PJ...Thank You

Trying to get my plants inside. Gonna frost/freeze tomorrow night. I hate winter

Have a great day everyone

You have a little while yet to work BB.  Didn't realize that.  Thought this was it!  I sure hope the Lyrica helps your mom.  She has the opposite problem from what i had which is more the norm for this back stuff.  Happy Birthday!

Soso - my knees are fine, just chubby

Geez Holly.  No fun at all. I hope you get a dang diagnosis.

Badger - you were up early.  Have you always been OCD obsessively responsible?

I had trouble posting here today and I assume others are too since so many are missing.

Good Afternoon
I was up earlier than Badger this morning. Chris' Cpap was making the honking geese noise. Think it woke Chris up, too, 'cuz he came downstairs shortly after I did. I put one of those breakfast casseroles together yesterday, and wanted to get it in the oven  for Paul and Duane.  Then I checked the sports news, Packers and Brewers both won. Then I got distracted and never got around to posting this morning.
Went to my PT session and have an assortment of shoulder strengthening exercises to work on. See the ortho on Thursday. Still hoping there is a magic shot for the pain. I broke 2 plates last night washing dishes. It sucks when one arm just won't cooperate.
Holly, hope you get some answers.
MB, hope the project gets done right this time. Deep breaths, RELAX.
BB, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! had to chuckle when I read about you getting your plants in. Not even 20 minutes ago I was standing in the kitchen talking to the guys while they ate lunch and happened to look out on the front porch. Saw a potted Reiger Begonia I had forgotten all about. Poor thing. Fortunately, it is a high front porch, and the 4 hard frosts we've already had didn't kill it. Brought it in and cleaned it up. I've had it for 3 years now, has pretty soft-peach colored blooms. Glad I looked out and saw it.

Gonna spend the afternoon repotting some of the assorted Kalanchoes I have. Sitting in the enclosed back porch, and more or less in the way. Need to get them into the sunny foyer.

I'm kind of missing the Bernster's hee hees, too.
Back to work, enjoy the rest of your day
Cindy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEACH BILLY!  You deserve a wonderful day and a great upcoming year.

Cindy, I missed you posting early!  I'm also missing Bernie 's posts!

I'm home from the tests.  Piece of cake once I actually got in.  I spoke with the Dr after, which he said I'd probably not remember, HA!   Although I don't particularly remember either procedure, I was totally capable of driving home and I did.  My honey-do guy Chris was the only person who wouldn't be inconvenienced too bad by sitting somewhere for 3 hours.  He would have been happy to do it for nothing but I'll pay him for his time at the normal "not hard work rate" we have.  He pretended to be my driver but he doesn't have a MO STATE DL.  Some issue with his Indian birth certificate being an unofficial State document in MO. ANYWAY...  we had a driver to call for a ride home if needed, but I didn't need them.   Hell, I've driven in worse shape many times in the past and probably a couple in recent history.  I had a mild buzz but not like alcohol impaired.

I just looked out and we have SUNSHINE.  First in a few days!   The temperature is up to 48°.  I may go shopping.  I need winter shoes and a couple of light wraps to wear over other tops.  I like them better than jackets until it's too cold.

Good evening.  52 and mostly sunny.  Got a fairly early start on the day.  Three errands in Toyota then back home for a bite to eat.  Then loaded up the Honda with hanging baskets and other potted plants and a bag of leaves to compost.  Hauled the pots into garage and proceeded to set up my fall display in entryway.  After that got the leave blower out and blew off the deck and covered the table and 4 chairs with covers and dragged under the bar area on the deck.  Then decided to put out the fall decor in the house. All on lower level where Maya is not allowed.  It looks festive and I was happy with the progress I made today.  Piddled around with a few other things and I am done for the day.  Oh yeah, stopped at Vets for CD dry food and told them Maya has been sneezing since Saturday.  They just said to keep an eye on her and if still happening come Thursday, might want to schedule an appointment.  She appears to be doing better and not as congested.

Happy Birthday BeachBilly.  Hope you had a good day.  Hugs.  Hope your Mom feels better soon.  Excited about your upcoming retirement.  Congrats.

Twirls, glad you made it through the procedures so well.  Very surprised they allowed you to drive home by yourself....interesting.  Hope the test results don't take too long and hoping for good news.  Thinking of you.

Feeling the same about missing Bernie's posts.  Not sure but I think he is wheels up tomorrow.

Hola Badger.  Glad to hear progress is being made and hopefully you and Duane will be home soon.  Thanks for the laugh this morning.  Happy to see Aaron pulled off the win.

Cindy, not sure what to report about the Anderson visit.  Not all things were taken care of as promised.  Took a step back today as I was upset and just need to chill in order to communicate my next move with these folks. Disappointed.

Crunchie, Chubby knees?  No, I don't think so chica.  Did you book the flights yet?

How is Frank doing?   Missed your post today.

Edit:  SoSo, that about sums it up.  Thanks for the laugh to the BeachBilly greeting.

Hola Jamie, Nipper, Susy, GMAdeb, MapleSyrup, Bob and so many others.  Be well, MB

Thanks to a great bunch of people for letting me still be a part of this wonderful site.  It really means a lot to me.  The whole joke started with me asking about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which my doctor thought I might have.  Well after the nerve conduction study turns out I have a form of it but it is in my elbow.  Call "Cubital Tunnel Release" according to the surgeon who is doing the procedure tomorrow morning.  Such a small procedure that physical therapy wasn't even discussed. Yeah! Need to be at the hospital at 6:30 for an 8:30 procedure.  Seems like a there is going to be a lot of down time.  Oh well, it is what it is.

Badger--I would have needed those gloves to keep my stub warm!  Socks aren't that thick!
Crunch--SO HAPPY they were able to alleviate your nerve pain.  It really sucks, doesn't it?  It is worse than when I broke my foot.  Problem with it, I think you'll agree, is it never lets up.
BB--Happy Birthday!  If I lived closer we'd be hitting the casinos!
Cindy--Hope you get your arm problem taken care of soon.
Nipper--A big hug to the lady who taught me how to post pictures.  Remember that?  I do just because it was the time we went
to Mexico before GBG passed away.  Her and my wife had been very close cyber friends but had never met face to face.
Twirls--Glad things went ok today.  Surprised they let you drive.  When I had a colonoscopy done they required someone to bring
me and take me home.  Same thing with my procedure tomorrow on my elbow.  Said it was because the knockout
medicine would still be in my system.  On the colonoscopy they said a cab wasn't even allowed. What if I lived alone in a             new city?
And to all I have missed, a big THANK YOU for your understanding.

And to PJ--Thanks for reminding me about April Fools Day.  I have a pretty big hill to climb, don't I?  Hard to beat Chicago Craig's birthday stunt on my wife.  That was a classic!

Oh one more thing, my wife is healing so well that she is going back to work Monday!  Today she had to go to the school to redo her strength tests that the do each year showing they are capable of preforming various critical events that could happen.  She was so thrilled when she got home as she had passed with flying colors.  Actually did the "bag pull" in 2 seconds less than when she did it this past summer.  Also her doctor said today that she was way past the progress point he had assumed she would be at for this point in her recovery.

Good Morning
Good to have you back, Frank. Gloves on a stump...had a fleeting image of a T-Rex with it's short little arms.

Holly, hospital here is very adamant that for even the smallest procedure you must have a driver, and can't be a taxi. I, too, am surprised you drove yourself.

Just a few pieces of trim to finish up on the project, and then the guys will load up and head for home. Paul is a bit frantic about all the work emails he has been getting. He says it happens every fall, all of a sudden everybody wants something done before winter settles in. I think he should advertise in July with the tagline from "Game of Thrones": WINTER IS COMING. Plan ahead: R……f Construction.

Nothing in particular on my agenda today other than stripping the beds after the guys leave and getting everything in the laundry. Do need to vacuum, too.
Have a wonderful day
Cindy

Good Morning Chubby Knees, it's Hump Day.

Frank, good luck on your surgery today, glad to hear IM is doing so well!

BB, belated Happy Birthday!

Twirls, when do you get the results of your tests?

MB, because of all of the problems you have been having with Andersen, I will probably never use their products again.

Yep, last day here today, we're both anxious to get home to our families. I received 3 phone calls yesterday wanting estimates on work and 2 emails last night, happens every year, people wait until the last minute and then want work completed before winter.

Wag more....bark less.

I think Twirley had a driver.  He just wasn't properly licensed, but it worked out ok.  Hopefully will get answers now.

Frank - there were 3 worst things lol.  The unrelenting nerve pain which is very different in nature from regular pain, also not being able to sit or bend for 3 months without excruciating pain. That was just beyond exhausting.  I cannot even describe how it is too never be able to get comfortable 24/7 no matter what drugs you take or what positions you try, and the very worst was the despair caused by it thinking life may never be even close to normal again and how do you endure.  It sounds dramatic which is totally not me, but when every second of the day is just about trying to get 1 single moment of relief it is physically and mentally just unbearable.  I am now super paranoid about it coming back because it can, but at the same time just happy as hell!  Good luck on that procedure and Mama Iguana has been impressive.  Very happy for her.

So, Monday or Tuesday was the coldest day ever on that date since records have been kept.  Heck of a cold front!

MB - how did the Anderson thing go?  You seem calm so hoping it went well.  November flights have been booked since long ago and my arse is ready for my cattle car seat

Is Bob off hiking?  No pictures?

I am missing Bernie too.  Hope he is having a great time and that he will get the trash out tomorrow.

The workers sound very well fed Cindy.  Glad they are getting it done.

Badger - i know your family will be glad to have you back.  You sure have a lot of potential work.  You do not have to take it all!

Good morning

I was up early but had to charge my kindle.  It's a beautiful morning to sit outside so that's what I'm doing.  Supposed to be 63° today and I plan to go shop for a few things and drive the convertible.  Not many days left this year to do that.

Crunch, DING DING DING.  WINNER!  The hospital does NOT ALLOW a person to drive themselves or use a cab.  Someone must sit in the waiting room who is supposed to be the driver.  Chris sat.  I drove.

Wow!!! Off and on sun and rain today. I pulled most of the plants, except the cold hardy ones and started roto tilling. Raining now. More work tomorrow, working around a dental appointment. I have 4 yards of loam coming tomorrow in the morning, so I can grade off around my slab and make snow removal easier this winter. I run my snowblower to every door in my house.

I went hiking yesterday with a friend. We hiked the Roost in Evan's notch, a nice section of the White Mountains that is under used (meaning not crowded!!!). Anyways, it was a short hike, with no view at the top. We made the best of it and we found some old foundations out there and visualized what was there in the past. We wanted to some more, so we took a trail shadowing the river, and it was a let down as well, as it was too far from the river. Phooey! LOL! I was going to do some hiking today, but the off and on rain.... I decided to work around the raindrops.

While I was working the garden, I realized it's time to plant next year's garlic. I roto tilled that bed and was thinking, GARLIC!!!! Going to be Italian tonight!

Have a great day everyone, especially you!

Lovin life,
Bob

Hola!

Back home again after another great riding holiday in Portugal. We rode beautiful Lusitano stallions in lessons, worked hard, got blisters and then stuffed ourselves with delicious Portuguese cooking and wines.  An excellent time was had by the whole group. We did a lot of the stuff mentioned in SoSo's earlier post...

The only difficulty we had has was being forced to land in Bangor, Maine on the way back. Evidently the Atlantic winds and weight of the plane were too much for the gas tank. We refueled in Bangor and were soon on our way home to Newark, NJ.

Now doing stinky laundry and trying to catch up on current events while being mobbed by all the cats and dogs. They tell me that they got no attention at all while I was away.  Poor things!

Frank, I'm glad that you are still with us, all appendages intact! Still hoping the doctors can find a treatment for your foot pain! Glad that Iggy Mom has healed so quickly!

Crunch -So happy to hear that you got some relief from your pain! Calls for a celebration!

C&C  Need some pics of the completed shed work. I'll bet Badger is ready to be home again. Hope the therapy works on your shoulder.  Don't want you swimming in circles  in Akumal!

Happy belated birthday BB!

MB Greatly enjoyed your beach pictures. Keeping my fingers crossed that the Anderson people fix all the problems to your liking. It sure has taken long enough!

Enjoy the sunshine Twirls and PJ.  Nice weather here today too! And just enough wind to blow all the bugs away!

I guess Bernie must be having a good time!

Good evening.  46 and sunny.  High of 66 tomorrow.  Have the alarm set for appointment for furnace tuneup 8-11 window and ABC seamless 11-noon.  Didn't leave the house today as not feeling so good.  Concerned about Maya and will see how she is doing tomorrow before a possible vet visit.  So lazy day other than two bathrooms cleaned and a shower.  Progresso chicken noodle soup heating up.   Might give some broth to the princess with some kibbles.

Badger, hope you two made it home safely and now more catch up with the folks that wait till last minute.  Hopefully you down wear yourself down again with all the hectic activity.  Be well.  Beautiful shop on the out buildings at C&C's.

Cindy, you got this on the PT.  Hoping no surgery needed.   What kind of pup are you thinking about in the spring?  Same sweet breed?  I'm sure things are much different without Mollie.

SNF, thanks for your update.  Hope you post some additional picks on BC.  What a fantastic trip.

Twirls.....11 days.  So happy for you.

Bob, was wondering what happened to you.  Enjoy that garlic.

Hola Bernie, ya back yet?  Look forward to hearing about your trip.

PJ, you needed a sun shiny day.

Crunchie, cattle car seat.  Ha, ha.  Anderson thing did not go as expected.  Must be your May Coz trip I was thinking about with the tickets.  Lots of rain in central TX.  Heartbreaking on the news.  May sunny days be your friend soon.

I started this post hours ago.  Manana, MB
