Howdy and good morning all.

Another cloudy day but no rain in the forecast. Current temp is 47F at 8:55 with a high of 54 degrees.

Yesterday I went to the post office to get my tax info in the mail to the CPA. Finally. Got a few items on the way home at the grocery store. Deb said she wanted to make me a meat loaf for dinner one evening and I also got a whole chicken for her to bake. I haven't had a cook in my home in many years. I believe I heard my frozen dinners crying in the freezer. Hee,hee

Today I plan to start on a different sort of paperwork : reviewing changes for my will and changing the beneficiaries on my life insurance policy.  It's the kind of thing that one doesn't think about very often but I have decided to "get 'er done".

Hi jj, I know you will be happy when the cabinets are done.  What else will the kitchen need before the job is completed ? Hope we can get some pictures.

Good to hear from you Jamie.  I hadn't heard the name "Yaris" in a long time; hope your Sister is OK
and not all banged up from the accident.

Crunch, I forgot to get a lottery ticket when I was in the store yesterday. Can't win if ya don't play.
I'll do it today !

Hey Badger, I looked at the forecast for your trip : 82/83 degrees every day this week. Brat ! hee,hee

Alrighty then, need to get a bite to eat.
See y'all later,
Bernie

Good morning.  13 and cloudy.  A high of 28.  House hunting today with Chris has been pushed back to Friday so I think I will get out and about.

Badger, so happy you and Babs managed to get away.  Have a great time.

JJ, nice update on Mom and new place.

Bernie, almost boating weather.  My special needs kitty has to be on CD wet and dry food indefinitely.  The cats seem to have acclimated quite well judging by your pics.

Enjoy the warm-up Cindy.  Best get packing girl.

PJ, glad the birds are working out well for SC.

Crunchie, prayers for your entire family.  Greats pics of you and your parents on FB.

Twirls, maybe a quick trip to the Roo would be a good idea before your April/May visit.

SoSo, how are things going with the new home?  Miss ya.

Hi Jamie.  Glad things are working out for your Sis with transportation.  Hopefully not too much rain for the mudslide areas.  Take care.

Gotta get a move on it.  Have a beautiful day, MB.

Good morning BCers!
Nothing but gray clouds here.  Warmer temps though...only needed a sweater to go outside.
So I will be grateful for that.  More rain tomorrow.
Yesterday I sat in the court room all morning reading a book.  Did not get picked to serve on the jury.
Back home by noon.  That was the last date on my jury pool calendar.  All done.

Badger and Babs,  enjoy the warmth and the sea.  Nice!
Showed SJ the info and pics for Hotel Hacienda Morelos.  He liked ...a bunch!

Bernie,  beautiful kitties!  Cat tree with a great view ...very nice.
SJ is working on our taxes ... He is not fun to be around during this time of year.
Won't be sweet again until he mails off the check to the IRS. LOL

MB,  SC watches utube videos on how to care for and train Thelma and Louise.
Very interesting information being shared by others.  Some is pretty funny.  Birds can be sassy brats too!  LOL
Hope your niece finds just the right house.  It is fun looking.  Stress doesn't come in until cutting the deal and
closing.

Twirls,  be sure to post pic of new furniture in place.
Will you take Miss Sassy with you if you go to Mexico?

jj,  So glad your mother is doing well after second surgery.  Bet she will be out running all of you soon.
My MIL never did get the second knee done.  Refuses to go through it all again.
Brother and SIL had both done at once.  Just amazes me what they are able to do now.
How much younger and happier they look when free of the daily pain they endured for so long.

Crunch,  ((HUGS))

Jamie,  Nice to see your post.  Hugs

Better get to the chores.  Have a wonderful day all!

Buenas Tardes.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, having a great time except Babs thinks she lost her Kindle somewhere yesterday.

We went to a new (for us) dentist in La Colonia this morning, Babs had a checkup and Xray, at a total cost $17 US Dollars.
She is going back tomorrow for a small procedure.

Crunch, hugs amiga.

PJ, would be great to finally meet SJ!

Bernie, buy more tickets!!

I'll try to get more photos up tomorrow, nos vemos.

Wag more....bark less.

Evening all
Darn.  I was hoping Badger had posted pics.  I also hope Bans finds her Kindle.  Mine has all my STUFF it.  I use it for important stuff because I understand that they are much less likely to be hacked due to the OS, according to my GEEK guys.  I hope she has it locked with a code to open it.

I've just so bad today that even my skin hurts.  I haven't moved much.  Pearl has been very good considering.  She played outside with Margarita quite a bit.  I guess that makes Margarita the best dog for putting up with her.

Dreaming of Hacienda Morelos.  I hope Badger has all the info for us soon!

Good Morning
Fat Tuesday is gone, Ash Wednesday is here.

I Hope Babs finds her Kindle. That would just about ruin a vacation for me.

Shopping for a new big duffle/suitcase. Old one has seen better days. Has some holes in it, and was always hard to zip/unzip, so I'm not mourning it's demise. Need a big one to hold the snorkel gear.

Supposed to hit 40F today! Will not be sad to see some of my snow mountains shrink. Although as the snow melts it will expose more of the many branches that fell during December's high winds. I am beginning to hate those silver maples.

Have a chiro appointment this morning, then a few errands and midday church service.
Have a wonderful day all
Cindy

Good Morning!

Ahhhh 40 degrees at 6am. We should hit 60 today.

Did you watch the olympics last night? Shawn White was phenomenal last chance to get the gold and he nailed it. Was exciting to watch. I watched the girls the day before and found myself not wanting to miss any of it.

Mom sent me on several errands yesterday, even to my house to see the progress. I think she’s almost ready for me to leave. LOL

Badger. Yay on finding the kindle!

BC meet up sounds like fun! However I can’t even commit to a paint color right now. I’m going to have to ride this out and see where I end up. Just don’t count me out yet.

When my nights start with margaritas, they end with happiness!

Howdy and good morning everyone.

Little foggy and cloudy this AM. 45F at 7:30 with an expected high of 62 degrees.

Yesterday was minor food shopping and Debby cooked a whole chicken for dinner. She used her stoneware baker and it turned out absolutely fantastic. Sorry, no food porn but we do have a lot of left overs. Oh, I did buy a Mega Millions & Power Ball tickets. Need to check last night's drawing on Mega.

Today Deb returns to more phone calls & paperwork; she can see the light at the end of the tunnel. First, she has a check up & cleaning at my dentist. As for me, I'll be calling the ProTech Marine folks to see it they can get to my boat today or tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll trailer it over to their place next week.

Badger, great news on Bab's computer.

I need to get going in case the boat mechanic can get to my boat this AM.
See y'll later,
Bernie

Morning all

I slept off and on yesterday.  Up fairly early as Bonnie has her ultra sound at 11 am in Springfield.  I think I'm better today.  It's those F in meds!  Up early enough to NOT find any puppy puddles or piles.  YAY!  But I woke her up and she ALMOST made it to the door before she just couldn't hold it.  She usually puddles on the pee pads in the night.  Apparently she held it all night.

So glad the Kindle has been found.  1 good thing about paperbacks!,  USually not a large $ loss.

Not sure who asked but ,YES, I intend that Pearl will travel with providing she stays small enough.  My vet did not think she will get too big.  Her brother is much bigger and he will be too big.  I think she will be about beagle size.  I may have to hire someone to carry her in a carry on doggie bag!  I won't be able to lift her, I'm sure.
She ALMOST remembers the NO BITING rule this morning.
Between Margarita being a Corgi and Pearl, a heeler, the herding stand offs can be quite amusing.  Unfortunately Margarita is giving up the ALPHA position most of the time.  I'm trying to get Pearl to not be so ALPHA and controlling.  She's learning that it doesn't work on me!  She now STOPS AND DROPS to sit when I bring out the whipping stick! Because I have wrestled her to the ground and put her on her back several times, she's starting to equate the NO BITING to ROLL OVER AND PET MY TUMMY!  It works but not exactly what I had in mind.  Progress anyway.  And my wrist socks are working!

The fight I was watching for a quickie warm up,  took a jump last night! DARNIT!

Oak Island ...   I'm not sure where this program is going.  They can't possibly drag this out much longer without a fairly big discovery.  However they are rewriting history, I suppose, for those that still think that Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas.  They have found an ancient cross from about 1200 -1400 that truly replicates a Templar cross from a castle in France, among many other things that shouldn't be natural to the island.   The history part is fascinating.  I'm surprised that Chris isn't watching.  It seems like it would interest him with the history part.

Just played a game of cat and mouse as Pearl snatched a package of crackers from my coffee table.  She ran circles but finally stopped and relinquished it willingly, once I grabbed THE STICK.

Glad most of us get a warm up before it turns cold again.  We have a couple 60+ days with rain, which we need badly.

Gotta go.  This took forever between door duty.

You can. There is not much emphasis on it in the Lutheran church.  More emphasis on a contrite heart and repentant soul. And I really mean no offence to any Catholics reading this, but let's face it; a Friday night AYCE fish fry is really NOT fasting. I do know some in our church that will fast from time to time. I think the feeling is that back when Luther was starting his reformed church and the church in Rome was selling indulgences it was considered yet another scam. Not buying meat? Give us more money. Not that Luther got it all right. He was in favor of pogroms long before Hitler. An imperfect man like all of us. But if one does feel the need, it should be something meaningful to you that you really would miss. Giving up say, chocolate, does not really count as a sacrifice. I am glad I checked the church's website. Service is at 3:30pm, not 1pm.

Paul, good to hear the Kindle was found! Now give us more food porn pics! Sheesh!

Holly, glad you're feeling better. Need more puppy pics!
Carry on...

Good evening and happy Valentine's Day to all.  41 and sunny.  Lovely day.  Was headed out to do errands and decided tomorrow would work better so I washed the new blanket, changed sheets, and ended up doing three loads of laundry.  Other than that not too much going on beyond some phone calls.

Badger, sweet on the Kindle. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Have some grilled langosta for me....or prawns.

Twirls, hope you've had a better day.  Big hug sent your way.

PJ, I will have to check out "how to train one's parakeets" online.  Never had any birds.  My Vietnamese neighbor, Sammy, has an exotic bird.  In the summertime I can hear it squawking from across the street when the front door is open.

Cindy, good thing you checked on the church service in advance.  I'm getting excited about your upcoming trip.  Hope you like the new duffel bags.

Crunchie, enjoy the warmer weather.

JJ, you crack me up about your Mom.  Great that she is so enthusiastic about getting out there again.  No more chronic pain.  Bless her.

Bernie, kinda nice to have some home cooked meals again.  Sure beats the frozen entrees and you'll be doing your beach and neighborhood walks soon.

Enjoy your evening.  MB

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL.  I realize it's belated but...  I hope that it was a GREAT DAY for all, no matter if it was superfluous money sucking, mostly invented for commercial purpose, semi holiday.  I still hope that you had a great day!

Mine was FABULOUS because I DIDN'T HURT SO BAD!  Yesterday was a meds thing and topped off with a barometer change.  I actually got a few things done.

I had a few calls/texts today that were a surprise and not because of VD DAY.  All were somewhat LG or Mexico related and I was thrilled for each and all.

1 decision.... I'll be going south around mid April.  Earlier than usual.  One reason is I can't possibly go soon...in a couple weeks, ...see below.  And I'll be craving warmth and a getaway by then.  I think Pearl will be old enough leave in April, with stay in home care, and she will be between classes in obedience school.  She won't be trained to travel yet.     Unfortunately my favorite place in HMB does not accept pets and I may have to change or change THAT, once she is travel trained.  She did very well today for behaving.

Bonnie had her ultrasound today.  UH....NOT GOOD.  Surgery to remove her spleen ASAP.  I'll do my very ultimate best for her and that's all I can do.  I'm not ready and I don't think she is.  She stays right by my side from room to room.  I cannot possibly leave her to go anywhere right now except maybe 1 night.   So no Mexico quickie.

JJ, I'll be looking forward to your pics.

Where is SoSo?

Party, Hola!

Good Morning
We got to 43 yesterday and it felt like spring! Was great to be out and about with just a light jacket. AND Chris got an early release from the tax office and we went out for dinner. Was a nice Valentine's day. Another mild day today, then back to winter Friday.

I was watching local news last night and there was a confirmed report (trail cam) of a cougar in the town of Colgate. They believe it was the same one spotted in Fond du Lac last week. Interesting thing is, I happened to spot some very large tracks in our yard yesterday. They come in from the east of our property, meander a bit through the front yard, then cross the road. I am going to put my boots on and take a look when it gets light before they are melted much more. We are more or less between Fond du Lac and Colgate. Exciting. Nearest established cougar population is in South Dakota. First siting in 10 years for Wisconsin.

Enjoy the taste of spring, y'all. Have a beautiful day.
Cindy

Good Morning Amigos, hoy es Hueves.

Having a wonderful, relaxing vacation, yesterday Babs saw her new dentist again, had a filling done for the equivalent of 22 dollars. Next trip she needs 2 new crowns, he quoted us a price of $260 total!

Twirls, sure hope dear Bonnie will be okay!

Patty, it would be great to see you again! I did stop by Hacienda Morelos yesterday and was told that we should be able to get "group pricing" for the spring of 2019. I'll get on that once we return home next week.

Bernie, get the garbage out!

I've been having a bit of trouble trying to post pix, but I think I can get a few up.

Breakfast one morning at Roy's food truck, top tray has two with spicy eggs and one with ham, bottom tray is one ham  and two chicharone (sp), which was spicy, fatty, chewy Mexican deliciousness.

Lunch for me yesterday was a huarache

For Valentines Day I had a friend pick up a dozen roses for Babs in Cancun. Notice that there are not 12 in the photo because we kept giving them away to ladies dining at El Pesquero, they were all very happy to receive them.

Yesterday, a bunch of us from Prime Time ski group got together to go over to Bretton Woods for some real nice skiing. IMO, Bretton woods does a better job with snowmaking and grooming than my home mountain of Sunday River, and the River does a top notch job, so that is saying something.

Of course, we got the group picture, just look at all the smiling faces!!!! Yeah, this was gonna be a good day!

Anyways, we break up into a couple groups, and I'm in a group of some 10 people. Someone says Bob knows this mountain, let's have him lead!
So I suggest that we can take the toughest trail for our first run, or we can take a little more mild trail. Everyone wants the milder trail. I say okay, and promptly lead them down Bode's Run, named after Bode Miller, arguably the toughest trail at Bretton Woods. I issue apologies to all for my mistake and inform that there is nothing tougher than this on mountain, now let's do the trail I intended. Everyone, being well experienced skiers, did well on this trail, as it was still freshly groomed.

We went on to explore all around the mountain, what a nice mountain. Wide open cruisers, well groomed and ski surface snow depths were often deeper than we have become used to.

We had seen Mt. Washington socked in the clouds most of the day, but later on, the peak of Washington was in the clear above the clouds. We ended up skiing almost 6 hours. Well done Bretton Woods, well done.

By the way, this was day #60 skiing this season! Living the life!

Lovin life,
Bob
