Hola, Susy, don't be such a stranger, please

Tomas, thanks for the update on our missing Nor'easter friend. Hope he can reappear in awhile.

MB, you have been having a temp pastor for awhile now, yes? Any news on when your church might get a permanent replacement? Glad you are keeping up your workouts.

nipper, hope your bursitis is doing better..

Holly, please get on your Kindle and let us know you are alive even if not feeling so hot right now. Or ask Paul to post for you please, many of us care about you.

Beautiful pics of the clouds, SoSo, think I see the elephant cloud on the left. Sorry to hear family issues are interfering with some of your vacation plans and thanks for the well wishes. Maybe you can use some of the Sundog's post retirement income to fund another future trip.

Hope the seas calm down for the Roatan gang so snorkeling can resume.

Hope the meatloaf was good Bernie, I love egg salad sandwiches and don't get them often enough.

The bursitis is slowly improving. I was able to get to one aquafit class last week and again today. Next step is to add some exercises I can do at home and then, eventually to get back to the gym regularly. Our next trip is to Akumal on April 20 so that should be OK.
Hope the Roatan weather improves for snorkeling soon.
Take care everyone.

2020: Akumal in April!!!  Oops, make that 2021

Pics look like everyone is still smiling despite the weather. Hope the weather improves.

Sorry folks, I didn't mean to make anyone worry.  If I had some good news I would certainly post it...Along with any bad news.  Otherwise I don't talk about it much.
I did have the PET (body) scan today.  I might get results (that I probably won't be able to decipher) on my Network porta late  tomorrow..  The brain scan from earlier was free of cancer....although I've been so confused about some things...
My body scan results will probably be posted by Tuesday but if they are really bad, I may not hear until my Oncologist appointment next Friday.  I would not be at all surprised to learn that my 1 kidney has been affected and a few other places, simply by how I feel.  I've known for quite some time that something was wrong in that area.  I was surprised that I had anything other than a bad bronchial infection in the lung/upper respritory area.  I know I smoked and a lot at times, but so did Mom and I've been just like her in many ways, mostly physical.  She didn't ever have lung cancer.  At 82 she did get colon cancer,  It was contained and she had about a foot of colon removed.  She never had radiation or chemo and it never came back to anyone's knowledge.  I'm not sure how Jay managed to deal with knowing he was terminal for so long but right now 5 years sounds like forever to me.  I can say that I don't think I have even half that long just by how I feel.  Quality of life is everything and when the quality is gone, I will go too.  I'll be ready by then as much as one can.  The upside is I will see my husband and family again, I hope.  There is a benefit to know that you are dying...so you can try to get your **** in order.  There were some changes I planned to make in my trust and hopefully I will get that worked out and signed.  I have added and reduced several times and at least this last revision covered most.   I still have to rework what I'm doing for the 2 youngest "grandchildren".  They are the only kids getting anything and it is supposed to be for post high school education of some kind.   I also had a face to face sit down talk with Jay's son.  I explained that I was doing something for his only son and that I will make him guardian but that ir would still be "overseen" and only used for medical or education purposed for that child and no one or nothing else. You can't control everything in life nor from the afterlife.  I don't have enough money to leave to everyone I'd like to.  I think it's much easier when you have family.  The few cousins I have, we don't even know each other and haven't done anything for ear other.  Without an family who would more or less automatically get it, I've tried to gift mine to people who have been giving and loving towards other,  Did charitable things, and partake in (like serve in a soup kitchen, cook or bake for charitity /charities events and donate when they can.  PLUS who are somewhat unfunded for their future due to giving much, medical needs etc., but not due to their own folly or obsession.  However GIVING is the best feeling in the world and I have given to many who took advantage of the situation.  My own fault but it still felt good.  Even before I inheirated from my uncle.  I was a regular Robin Hood as a child.  I stole money from mom so my poorer best friend could go do things with me like roller skating.  If I had told mom she probably would have given it gladly.  So much for this

Nipper, I hope your bursitis fades away quickly.

Bernie, Sue is a cutie.  Does she deserve to  be tortured by your sense of humor?  Give her my best after telling the spoon rest and T-Shirt shopping.  Once you think she'll stick around, you can tell her the story of wrecking my car or almost letting me get electrocuted...!!!   YES you can tell bad stories about me too!  We did have some fun times and I loved most all of  every trip.  Except that 15 day trip.  It might have been 1 day too long for both of us.

Hola to the MIA Bobski!

Susy, I've been meaning to call but I spend most of my time sleeping.  Had I known I would be up now, I would have.  I did nap most of the afternoon while waiting for my tests.  My glass is about out of rum so I'll head to bed very soon.

Jamie, you are so sweet.  I hope you "bug" health issue clears up right away.  Go get checked out.

Still trying to sort out the SS Disability issue.  I can'r believe how this attorneys firm had F"d this up!  I only went in to try to filee for the medicare part.  I had started getting payment quite awhile back as a disabled widow survivor.  I wanted the Medicare since I was classified a "disabled" from working according to the rules.  The attys office decided I should have gotten a year and a couple months off back pay so they made that the whole issue.  The hearing had to be postponed once at my request and just lately cancelled due to the judge deciding there was NO back pay involved, just 1 day prior to the hearing!  I STILL WANT MY DISALILY MEDICARE ISURANCE!   Particularly NOW!  However my maximum out of pocket is about to e met so it will be much better but I've eaten up a ton of cash lately.  I'm very thankful that I have it to pay.  Thanks to my family and husband.

See, this is why I don't post often.  I just run on about myself.

I will let you know about the body scan but as I said, my oncologist appointment isn't until next Friday and I may not know much or what my options are until then.  I have a lot to think about and do to take care of things I want to do.

My personal stuff is up for grabs and I think I have picked the right people for 2 of the mexico pieces of art.  I have an acrylic paining of good size from Sergio (the blue building near Turtle Bay) which is 2 parrots of red, yellow and le in a jungle background.  And 2 paintings by Barry Lanius of PoMo.  One is 2 tortugas and one is 2 parrots of blue and yellow also in a jungle background with tropical yellow flowers.  All have been professionally framed.  if you are interested, I will send you a text or email photo.  I want them to go to people who have been there and appreciate them. I have some smaller stuff too.  Mostly originals.  Tile art, fish sculptures of various materials...  And anything else I have.  Some can go now but most gifts will pass when I do.  I have way too much stuff but I'm sure some of you are trying to get rid of your own stuff.

I now understand the last song Jay picked for his skydiving video..."I hope you get to live like you are dyin"  He did go skydiving at the age of 62 but before he was told he had terminal cancer.  I think a person sometimes subconsciencely (sp) knows.  He did go Rocky Mountain climbing.  Although he didn't go bull riding, he did drive a NASCAR racecar on the Charlotte speedway by himself.  Tom Flowe and I were there to see it.  I've done most everything I wanted to do except more travel and eating.

OK Goodnight.  My rum glass is empty!

I just added 1/4" of rum in my glass which won't last long...
Susy

Good Morning Agouti Trainers, it's Friday.

Holly, thanks again for the call last night, let's hope it is at least 5 years!

Chris, OMG, that hair!!
Please tell Cindy to open her eyes so that she can post on the BC.
Love the other photos though.

SoSo, I see the elephant.

Jamie & Nipper, glad you are both feeling a bit better.

MB, not much snow loss here yet, a high of only 24 today, but may see 40s this weekend.

Hi Susy, Bernie, PJ and the Clurkers. Hmm, could be the name of a band...PJ & the Clurkers.

Good Morning
Paul, the biggest problem is my biggest husband. He has pretty much taken over one of the few spots to plug into and then leaves all his stuff there so no one else can use the spot. But I made him make room for me this morning. Wifi is slow here, too.  Still raining buckets this morning, surf sounded rough when I stepped outside earlier.

We had planned last night to walk all the way down the beach to a place called Foster's for their lobster dinner. Wind was howling and legs were getting sand blasted. Keav was leading the way and spotted the specials board at Beachers; turns out they were having a lobster special, too. Much closer and we like the place very much anyway. So saved ourselves a long miserable trek.

Holly, hang in there. We're all praying for you.
Nipper, glad to hear there is some improvement with your bursitis. It's slow going, but mine eventually got better with some help from my chiropractor.

Haven't had time to go back and read all to catch up; will try to do better.

Howdy and good morning everyone.

Later than normal for me; had a sleep-over at Sue's place. Sunny all day today. Current temp 46F at 9:58 with a high of 54 degrees.

Yesterday fed beach kitties about 11:30 and then a BLT at Fibber's. My pest control guy showed up right after 4PM so I was on the road about 5 heading to Sue's house. We went out for happy hour at Filet's and I had the ribeye steak and Sue' the prime rib. Sue had to do a 'doggie bag' and I wiped mine out ! Finished the evening with a cocktail at Sue's and in bed by 10 o'clock and probably asleep by 11. Hee,hee. Her little dog Sandy really like me to toss some toys and then play "tug of war" with him. Cute dog.

Today only feeding the beach kitties on my list. Too full from Sue's breakfast this AM to mess with Fibber's.

Thanks for your pictures, Cindy. Chris has quite the hair electrocution look ! ha,ha. Everyone looking good and the food porn looks yummy. Storm appears pretty strong.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, Holly. Yes, we had some darn great times together. I will always remember them until my mind 'slips away'. I will be sure to recant our tales to Sue. If you are there in Po Mo
the 1st week of May, I will try to take the ferry back to Cancun and catch a shuttle down to see you and the gang. In the meantime, try to keep your chin up and stay positive. xo and love.

Must get cleaned up. Hi to everyone else and have a good day, Bernie

Good evening.  23 and clear skies.  I got a short walk of 2 miles in this morning followed be another tan session.  Had an appointment after that and put away a few more kitchen counter items.  In the process I moved small TV and the DTA box made a funny noise and that was that.  Up to Xfinity and hooked up the new stuff.  That didn't work and led to a couple of wasted hours on phone or here trying to figure it out.  Comcast will be out tomorrow.  That pushed my BP up a bit.

Thanks for the update Holly.  Will keep on sending prayers.

Roatan crew that weather looked a bit nasty and Chris' hair was proof of that.

Glad to hear the hip is doing better Nipper.

Hope Glen had safe travel home, SoSo.

Badger, going to be close to 50 here Sunday.   Might have to get the lawn chair out.

Other than that, I know I am missing some folks here....so hello.  Have a great weekend all.  MB

Good Morning Clubbers, it's Saturday.

Cindy, glad you could finally post, hope your weather improves!

Frank, my Mexican friends here always want me to bring back the cacahuates con chili.

MB, 36 for a high here today and maybe 45 tomorrow, might have to break out the shorts and tank top.

I wonder if Holly is going to get the camaro out?

Bernie, I'm glad you and Sue are getting along so well.

Our friend Theresa took Babs and I out for fish fry last night to celebrate our birthdays, good times. Today I have to make a run to Superior to pick up some things for work and then install a new garage door opener for Theresa.

Wag more....bark less.

Howdy and good morning everyone.

Being a bit lazy this sunny AM. I was dreaming about the hot summer days and didn't want to wake up. Our current temp is 37F at 7:49 and the high only 54 degrees under sunny skies.

Yesterday I fed the beach kitties and then went home to have a good ole meatloaf sandwich; left overs from Sue's care package I brought home. Chet called and invited me to join him and his Mom and Dad for dinner at Roberto's. They picked me up at 4:30 and off we went to catch the 'early bird specials'. Had a couple of drinks and lots of laughs while eating some good food.

Today beach kitties and then maybe another meatloaf sandwich for lunch. It's just way too good. Probably should call Fibber's to tell them I'm OK. Hee,hee. This afternoon Sue and I will meet Debby and Rod for dinner
down in North Myrtle at the Bonefish Grill. Deb set the time last night to meet at 4:45 for Happy Hour. Must remember to gas up the truck. Seems a though I'm using a little more gas these days. Hmmmm. Oh, also the to see if my slacks still fit for dinner tonight. I'm so used to wearing jeans in the cooler weather.

Thanks for all the pictures and travel update, SoSo. I finally did see the 'elephant' cloud. Thanks. Sounds like things are getting busy down South.

Badger, happy belated birthday to you and Babs.

  Hi MB, Jamie and Nipper.

Scooting for now.
See y'all,

Good Morning
Was pouring buckets when I woke up, off and on showers since then. Supposed to finally taper off late today. We're all going stir crazy. Ordered a cab last night to go out for the AYC lionfish dinner at Blue Bahia, but canceled because the storm picked up again. Ended up making spaghetti dinner here. But Keavin did rave about the meat sauce I made. Pam has some good days and bad days. Could tell she was having a lot of pain yesterday. Hopefully when this huge storm moves on and the sun comes out, she will feel better.

Nice to hear you and Sue are enjoying each other's company, Bernie. Happy for you.

Badger and Babs, Feliz Compleanos! (I think I spelled that correctly, but if not, you get the sentiment) Love you guys. Internet is so slow and spotty, we knew trying to Skype would not go well.

Holly, thinking of you as always.
Hola to all, have a wonderful day!

Buenas Dias

Thanks for the update Holly - sending HUGS a truly difficult adjustment.  Think you should tell the gear shift story … now that was funny!!

Nipper so happy you have improvement with your bursitis, had a bout in my shoulder once and know how long that took to heal. Awesome your plans for a Roo trip are going ahead.  Water therapy is the best, wish you well on the continued improvement.

Who gave Chris that lovely hair do? Jaja  Fosters is far to walk Cindy... now that is funny. No sand wheelchairs for the piratas? May the water settle soon and you get some decent snorkels in.

HI Mapes nice update, hope you find time to do more.

Thanks for the PM Crunch and have an understanding now.

MB hope you get the comcast install straightened, there always seems to be hiccups on start up had same experience. Best thing is you are the Brat on deck chica, tic toc.

Jamie, thank you for the kind words.

Badger Happy Birthday to you and Babs, the fish fry sounds like a delicious way to celebrate your special days.

BeBe so glad you are thinking about PoMo visit.

No clue on the peanuts Frank hope you share when you find out.

Needed a scarf and hoodie this morning while outside photographing.  Perfect snorkel weather now with the norte, flatter than a pancake.  There were some locals snorkeling for lobster out front 3 of them were away out there... almost at the dive site.

DH is did the walk of shame, a red eye through Seattle, was nice to see him walk in our home. Security cams are working well and will now be able to watch Zoey after he picks her up this morning. Just glad he is home safe, its nuts driving the 307.

Friggin fridge door shelf broke, my glass jar of mediterraneo spices broke - glass and spice everywhere *casa smells delicious tho. Love this spice and glad I purchased the last two on the shelf and also found my favorite low fat manchego cheese, it sells fast too.

Be well everyone, make it a good day.  Beautiful sunrise and a perfect sunny day here going to give my ole back some zero gravity today and lay on the floatie.

Frank - try Sabritas brand for the Japanese peanuts, made by Frito Lay so fairly widely distributed although there are other brands. They also make the lime and chili flavored peanuts.

Good morning BCers!
Beautiful clear skies.  A high temp of 55F this afternoon.
Worked on cleaning floors in the man cave yesterday. Washed all the throw rugs.
So dusty downstairs from the woodstove.  Was sneezing my head off.  Going to try to get it all mopped today.
Today is SJ's run to the dumping/recycling station.  Trash cans are all full.
I need to get a bunch of shipping boxes busted down so he can take those away as well.

Happy Birthday, Babs and Badger!

Everyone have a wonderful day!  Hugs

Buenos noches! Started this post early this AM...
Now THAT’S what I’m talking about, SoSo! Ahhhhhh! Hope you enjoyed your therapeutic float. Ya Din’t ferget yer rum rations, now did ye lass?

Hope the weather swings around for you guys, Pam, Cindy and crew. Thanks for sharing your onsite TR; I saw one of those blue phase parrot(?) fish in Yal Ku my first snorkel there...YEARS ago... Sooo hope you get to cut your hair soon, Chris!

A belated “Feliz Cumpleanos”, Babs Y Badger! Looking more and more like we will be muling that equipment to Po Mo ourselves in April/May....

Miss Holly, it’s always good to “see” you, and we’re still sending those VT Hoodew Vewdoo  vibes. I need to do a “purge”; not a lot of stuff that’s worth anything, but like most men, I never throw away stuff “ I  might use or need again”. You’re doing a great service to Chris, those around you who mean anything to you, and your pups. I have vowed to not leave my mess to our son! If I dropped tomorrow, he’d be some POed at me for leaving all that s**t!

Happy to see life treating you fine, Uncle Bernie. Did I miss pics of the Beach Kitties? Beach walks? Sweetie says “no telling stories out of school.”

Jamie, Geeze you’ve been under the weather for too long! Hoping that CA sunshine brings relief. Have mentioned it before  possibly....we spent the summer in SD; loved it!
Frank, a second from me on what Jamie said on the peanuts....

Good to hear the hip is better, Nipper. As you’re well aware, PT is the friend you love to hate. Keep yer eye on da horizon, Mi Lady!

Wheels up soon, MB! Jealous!

The kids came down today to get some paperwork done (read: debt consolidation) and I went to get my mother, so we’ve had a busy day. Just brought Mom back home, and now finishing up this post, bebita in hand.

I’ll put this up, then a few pics.... Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

Happy Birthday Babs and Badger.  Birthdays on the same day?  Wife and mine are only a day apart.  2 Leos and she seems to have the biggest roar!  Go figure!

Paul--Thanks for the peanut tip.

SoSo--Badger answered the peanut question.  You must have missed his comment this morning
