Morning all although my morning started at 5:45, which sounds late to some of you early risers...

Home from the biopsy.  It wasn't as bad as described.  Worst part was laying on a somewhat concave table with 1 boob dangling through a hole.  It's kinda hard to get only 1 small boob in that big hole when you are little, so there was a bit of tugging and pulling by the nurses.  Probably the most boob action I've had in 8 years! LOL.  You men can equate the boob in the hole as though you have to dangle only 1 testicle in that big hole... (added this just for giggles for on my part).  The needles, numbing and sucking the stuff was all pretty much a piece of cake compared to trying to be entirely still on that table in that uncomfortable position.
Glad it's done and results will be a phone call at 12:30 Friday.

PJ, thanks for helping with the girl on the Christmas list.

There is never much info on these kids to fill their joys for Christmas gifts.  5 of the 6 kids were pretty specific in their wants.  2 of the 3 boys at least had some sizes listed and the 15 yoa girl.  Name brands, clothing preferences etc.  The 10 yoa boy listed NO sizes but did list a couple of bigger wants, like a bike (I always get a cool helmet too) and a remoted controlled monster truck.  Easy.  All are supposed to get a hat, gloves and outfit.  Outfits are hard with no sizes listed.  Jeans or pants are not possible.  I figure the 10 year old will get a boys large size hoodie (I always buy from local easily accessed stores, like Walmart or Target to make returns or exchanges easy)  The 3 yoa is pretty easy.  Specific toys were suggested but no sizes once again for clothing.  I bought a 4T size cute outfit with shirt, leggings and TuTu type skirt that can be worn over the leggings.  However the problem child is a 12 yoa girl.  Again no sizes were given and no name brands mentioned but the specifics mentioned were art supplies like watercolor paints, brushes etc.  Also YA science fiction books.  I had no idea what YA was so in googling I find out it stands for young adult,  It also says she reads at high school level.  This kinda suggests (to me)  that she is an imaginative and creative type child with a brain who uses it.  Science Fiction...I know nothing... nor do I know what she has already read...
So I googled (again) and I think I will buy the top 1 or 2 YA books of the season and a Barnes and Noble gift card.  I checked and you can order books to be delivered to your home, in case she has trouble getting to the store, and the gift card will cover the delivery fee.  Then I googled what 12 yoa girls are wearing nowdays...OMG!  Images popped up with lots of sites to view children in their underwear or bikinis!!!   PORN!  I couldn't believe that as innocently as my question seemed, I got that carp!  I decided to go with a hoodie, T-shirt and leggings in the average size, 12 -14, and again easy to exchange.  No Boundaries brand seemed to offer a decent selection of pre teen girls clothes.  Her favorite color is purple so at least I have that to go on.  Since she didn't have as much on her list as the others, and no expensive brand names, I will load up on art supplies of various mediums and get paper, canvas etc.  I need to keep it even among the kids.  If I feel like it later today, and I think I will, I'm headed to Hobby Lobby for art supplies.

Bernie, nice of you to call the other night.

Cindy, I have a kennel for Pearl in my room.  I used to latch the door.  Now I don't.  She knows she can get out, because she lets herself in and out during the day when she wants to nap.  However, once I say it's time for bed she doesn't usually ever get out of it until I get up and open the door in the morning.  Once or twice she has gotten out and whined to go out to potty.  I get right up.

Crunch, have a few drinks for me!

That's all I got for now folks.

Hey Twirley,
Glad you finally got your biopsy done and let us know the results. Sounds like a weird way to do the test, can't remember if mine was sitting up or lying down, but I did have a partial breast MRI over 3 years ago that was more like what you describe. You sure bought a lot of stuff for those kids, that will really make their Christmas, especially stuff like a bike and the shoes.

PJ, glad to hear SC and Zac are nicely settling in, a house will be nice with all their pets.

Snow looks nice Bob. Hope you get lots of skiing done between now and the weekend.

Dentist yesterday, had half my mouth done with deep cleaning and the other half will be done next week (it is an insurance thing), $420, ouch, will put on my CareCredit. Couple of minor cavities that can wait a few months and an infection in my lower molar which I will get antibiotics for tomorrow.

Cold, hail and snow here in the LA area after temps of 88-90 Sunday, weird. It's only 53 high today so I am not leaving my apartment at all, trash can wait until tomorrow.
Speaking of which, Bernie don't forget your trash tomorrow.

Anyone else seen those commercials for Peleton as a Christmas gift (a high tech exercise bike for cardio fiitness buffs that costs a fortune) where the woman looks overjoyed that her husband gave her a Peloton? My husband knew better, but it reminded me of one Christmas where my late brother gave my sister a Suzanne Somers Thigh Master and me a Tummy Toner or something, he was almost a victim of fratricide.

Hope crunch and Tomas had a safe flight, they are hopefully in Coz right now enjoying many margaritas with mas to come.

Geez Cindy, seems to me that poor Joey as the senior dog (by age) should get some respect.

Gem have a safe flight next week, am sure you will be glad to see your family.

Good evening.  42 and mostly cloudy now.  Sun was out part of this pleasant day.  Hit the fitness center a little later than usual.  Got a 1.5 mile walk in and called it a day.  Lot of sore muscles and joints from yesterday.  Did some reading and other than that not a whole lot.

Kim and Tom are hopefully enjoying some cold ones and a great meal after a tiring day.

Jamie, quite the temperature change. Thanks for the laugh on the gift giving items. Glad you dental appointment went pretty well with the deep cleaning and the antibiotic treatment is the cure.

Twirls, speaking of appointments....pleasantly surprised about your biopsy.  Next time don't reach out to others about their experiences in advance.  Praying for good results.

Cindy, keep forgetting about that steal of a deal you got per pound on the turkey purchase.  Way to go!!

Gem, so happy your Mom is back to her "norm" before the medication changes.  Curious too, if her medical assistance needs to be enhanced?  Hugs.

SoSo, need more pics of Zoey.

Badger, hope that wintry mix in northern MN doesn't hit your area tomorrow morning.

JJ, photos of Lola would be nice too.

Rain expected this evening.  Make it a good one.  MB

Good Morning Clubbers, it's Thirstday.

Jamie, you cracked me up with your "fratricide" comment.

Twirls, glad your procedure went well, but please don't encourage Frank.

Boat Drinx was lotsa fun.

MB, it's pouring rain here right now and it's supposed to continue all day, then falling temps this afternoon could turn the roads into an icy nightmare, of course I'll be working a few miles out of town today.

Hola to the rest of the Clubbers!

Good Morning
Raining steadily. Dogs did not want to go out at all but I pushed them out anyway.  Sophie did a lot of whining in her new kennel, and Chris' C-pap mask kept getting out of whack resulting in strange noises, so between the two of them I did not sleep well at all.

Twirley, I totally sympathize with your experience. Years ago I had to do that with an MRI instead of normal mammogram. A 2-holer, LOL. (and I'm not talking about an outhouse!) I remember when I described it to Chris, he was completely insensitive and made all manner of jokes about it. All men are little boys in a bigger package. That includes you, Frank.

Jamie, Joey is so mild mannered he always lets Sophie push him around. I think she thinks that because she joined the household 5 days before he did that makes her the boss of him. Also, if we got a high of 53, I'd be out doing some yard clean up all day! We are supposed to hit 51 today, but the rain is supposed to be an all-day thing, with winds kicking up to 40-50mph. So no yard clean up happening here. Those wet leaves are just gonna have to stay where they are.

Speaking of leaves, because of the early bitter cold and snow, some of the trees and most of the shrubs have hung on to their leaves. Like they froze in place. Never seen that before. They are all gray in color; if they keep holding on it will indeed be a bleak winter landscape.

Time for a refill on my coffee, have a wonderful day!
Cindy

Howdy and good morning all.

Sunny this AM turning to partly cloudy this afternoon. Current temp 42F at 7:29 with a high of 60 degrees.

Woke up this morning with what could be the start of a cold or sinus infection. Ugh. Oh well. It happens. Yesterday's beach walk turned into a bust, as the wind had picked up by the time I got started. A lot of the beach sand had blown into the ocean from the days we had those nasty heavy winds. High tide was already pushing in so I decided to call it quits. Took a few pictures and then off to Fibber's for lunch instead.

Today I believe I will 'hole up' and stay inside.

Need to put the trash out and then finish my coffee.
Hi to everyone and I'll catch y'all later.

Tomas and Crunch (and others of course)--If you happen to be reading this a brief but intense meteor shower outburst is predicted tonight (Thursday) starting about 11:30 EST, 10:30CT (best time 11:50 EST, 10:50 CT) and lasting only about an hour.  Suppose to be by the Unicorn constellation.  Would be a sight to see with all the stars in Mexico!  Here is a link to an article about it.  One article I read said best visibility would be in the Eastern US and all of South America. Hope the weather is great and you are really enjoying your vacation.

Good morning BCers!
Gray sky and raining here.  With a high temp of 61F this afternoon.
Managed to get yard patrol in just before the rain started.
Spent most of yesterday bathing lil doggie and grooming her.
She is not very cooperative.  Especially when working on her face.  Have to take frequent breaks.
Since the cooler weather has set in.  The cat has been cracking me up.
She learned to knock on the back door when she wants in.  She also comes when I whistle for her as a dog would.
SJ is mystified.  Elphie just runs around and plays games with him.  Ha! Ha! you can't catch me.
No mystery.  I have treats and food.  LOL
Today the Chimney Doc is supposed to come to clean the wood stove and chimney.  I hope he doesn't cancel due to rain.
With all the trips we have taken to Mexico.  It has always been me who wanted to go.
Last night for the first time....SJ said, wish I was in Mexico where it is warm.
I said I can make that happen in about 15 minutes.  He laughed all the way down the stairs.  Big tease!!
Doesn't have enough vacation time left do it.   Better not say that after Jan. 1st.
He will be on a plane to Cancun before he knows it.  LOL

Twirls,  praying the one hole boob test comes up clean with no problems.  Hugs

Badger,  Frank gets started on his own.  Don't know who has the quicker wit...you or Frank.  LOL

Cindy,  sure hope the night time disturbances settle down for you.  I'd be very cranky by now.

Jamie,  stay warm.

Susy,  Glad you received some rain.

Crunch and Tomas,  should have your toes in the sand and drink in hand by now.  Enjoy!

Bernie, sorry your beach walk was blown away.  Flying sand is no fun.  Stings!

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!  Hugs

Evening all  (this was still sitting when I finally came alive this morning)

Funny but it turned out to be a great day...must have been the delirium of a sleepness night, the early rising, the valium (my Rx which they said I could have), the Lidocaine and the fact that it wasn't horrible and it was over and done, that put me in such a good spirit. After a short time at home, I tidied myself and went to Hobby Lobby in search of srt supplies for the 12 yoa girl.  SCORE!  And it was fun.  I visited with a couple of women in the painting aisles and they helped me pick out several items that were really nice.  Some was already 40% off, and the sweet cashier hinted at a coupon to google so I got 40 or 50 % off everything!!   I got a super nice all wood with handle multi media artist box that lays out like a tackle box for 1/2 price! It was pretty pricey. Plus brushes, paper for acrylic and watercolor, 4 small framed canvases, and a couple of "working with acrylic or watercolor" books.  I think she will be thrilled.

I was typing away last night when the PC battery died.  I thought I'd lost the post.  To my surprise , it was still sitting there this morning.  Sorry for the double post.  My wifi is soooo sllloowww.  I just called AT&T and naturally they tried talking me into bundling and everything else without really trying to fix my problem.  I threatened to cancel my service and go with someone else.  They will address the issue and get back to me.  Not holding my breath.

Jamie, your Fracticide comment also made me giggle about as much as Frank giggling about the testicle in the hole.

However frank does have a good tip on the meteor shower tonight.  I doubt we'll be able to see it because only in the southern states and Mexico, as I heard.

Cindy, the leaves are the same here.  It must be raining just about everywhere in the Midwest today.  Here too since last night.

PJ, February 25 to March 5...  see you there!

Yesterday while in the midst of opening all the deliveries of the kid's Christmas gifts to inspect and sort, I opened a package and it was for ME!  I was so surprised!  It was a lovely and well thought out present from good friend.  AN ANUSCHKA hand painted letter H fob to add to my purse or key ring.  Can't decide which.  Also it arrived with a full color catalogue of all Anuschka products...I have refrained from opening it for fear (I KNOW) I'll spend more money.

As good as I felt yesterday full of Christmas joy and whatever drugs...  I feel pretty S L O W today.  I think I have finished the shopping for the kids.  Now it making sure everything arrives intact and sorted into each child's pile, with proper numbers for the family and each child.  A few things will not arrive till after I leave and Chris will have to deal with that and the pick up by the church.  I can kind of relax and pack for Thanksgiving weekend and Mexico.  Perhaps some Christmas decorating as I feel like it.

Biopsy results are coming tomorrow at 12:30.  I'm not expecting bad news and I'm not going to worry about it.

I need to get moving.  I'm still in my robe and Chris is vacuuming and about to move in to this room!

Hi all.  This day sure went fast.  27 and partly cloudy I overslept this morning so I didn't make the 9 fitness class.  Did a quick stop at grocery store then back home before my clinic appointment at 10 with an RN to check my blood pressure.  First reading 130/? and the second one was 118/? which it is typically.  We discussed a number of things with all the doctoring I've been doing lately including my gut issues and she mentioned there is a free RN visit monthly for Medicare recipients. I said to sign me up and I will take advantage of it.  That way we can monitor my BP and hopefully the improvement of my stomach issues.  This is strictly a perk that I am eligible for and I can opt out anytime I want.  Left clinic at 11:30 and headed to gym to get my 2 mile walk in.  Got about an hours worth of reading in this afternoon, a shower and finishing a load of wash.  Will think about something for dinner here within the next hour.

Cindy, same issue here with the leaves on different species of trees.  Been a tough fall for yard clean-up.  I've given up personally between blowing leaves from other yards and those frozen leaves that are slowly dropping with the brisk winds.  Hope you get a good nights sleep this evening.

Bernie, those beaches are pretty deserted but I still enjoyed the pics.  Can you explain the tire tracks in the sand.

Holly, prayers for good news tomorrow.  I'm super excited for those kiddos.  They are going to love your generous gifts.

PJ, Elphie sounds like a funster kitty.  She's one lucky girl.

So Badger did boat drinx early....is he heading SOB?  Perhaps they are the mystery couple.

Crunchie, hope you had a great day.  Water sure looks nice on the web cam.

Edit:  Gem, great pic of Tatt and Paul.  Cindy, great pic of the two tuckered out pups.

Hi to all I've missed.  Have a beautiful evening.  MB

Good Morning Mischief Makers, it's Friday.

Twirls, please let us know what your results are today.

Bernie, hope you feel better soon!

PJ, why do I think you will be searching flights on January 1st?

Couple of handsome fellers there, Gem.

I am positive that Sophie is a bad influence on poor sweet faced Joey!

MB, no, not heading SOB, this weekend is the annual "boys at the cabin" weekend where we eat & drink too much, swap lies and play poker. I'll be back on Monday.
Oh, and photos posted from C&C's account are always done by Chris, you can tell because of the consistent lack of punctuation.

Rain quickly turned to snow yesterday with temps falling all day, made the roads a slippery mess. Should get near 38 today and hopefully melt some of it.

Wag more....bark less.

Good Morning
Yes, Chris put the photos up. Besides his lack of punctuation, he is also a bad teacher. Whenever I have asked him to teach me how to do something on the computer, he just gets growly and says "just let me do it". On the rare occasion he agrees to show me how to do something, he is impatient and unkind, goes too fast, and refuses to let me write anything down that would be a helpful learning guide for the future. I am a dedicated reader. I learn best by reading. So there you have it. Someday I'll figure it out, or get one of my sons to teach me.

Speaking of sons, getting very worried about eldest. He is still ill, sounds terrible (shaky voice). Drs did a complete MRI and found nothing out of the ordinary. He said he feels weak, and is experiencing vertigo and dizziness whenever he stands. Prayers appreciated. They took some blood for testing, waiting on results from that.

I have to be at the eye doctor's office by 8am today, just annual exam. Same guy who did my cataract surgery. So not a lot of time to make more comments; takes a while for this old gal to make herself presentable for the public. Have a wonderful day.
Cindy

Howdy and good morning all.

A mix of sun and clouds today with a chance of rain this afternoon. Current temp is 47F at 7:16 and the high is expected to be near 70 degrees.

Yesterday I was fighting this head cold and only had enough energy to go out to eat at Fibber's. Glad I did so, as the special was a 1/2 rack of pork ribs with fries and cold slaw. Talked to Meredith in the afternoon about gift ideas for Marshal and Torri for Christmas. Since they live in the Colorado Rockies I was thinking a gift card for maybe Cabela's or REI. Meredith suggested Amazon. Hmmm. She and John are doing OK; kids bring home colds from schooling. Ugh. Jack started kindergarten this year. Sam still in day care. They are easy to shop for, as Mer likes Target stuff for them.

Gem, nice picture of Tatt and Badger. Do you remember where that was taken ? Old ABR ? My, they look so young ! hee, hee. Thanks for the shot.

Chris and Cindy, dogs sure know how to relax, si ! Hope your son gets better and prayers sent.

MB, can only take a guess on the tire tracks in the sand. I don't think most vehicles are allowed on the beach for obvious reasons. Possible Ocean Isle Beach police ?  During normal beach tourist season the Beach Patrol uses ATV's but those tracks appear to be from a truck. Sometimes survey type trucks appear. During turtle egg laying season there are conservation folks that stake out the nests and gather data. Perhaps my next door neighbor can offer some input or I can swing by the OIB police dept and ask them.

Badger, thank you for the kind thoughts. Mucus Relief DM seems to help a lot from that 'drip drip drip' when I first wake up. I also have some saline nasal spray that I will use after my shower. I have been told that a shot of good bourbon at bed time will help, although I would have to buy some really good bourbon before I would try that remedy.

Kim, I was wondering when you might post a picture or two ? Please let us know, as I don't want to faint or anything. ha,ha. Weather been good down there ?

PJ, if you could capture a picture of Elphie playing 'chase' with SJ outside that would be a cool pic.

That's all for me this morning. Will catch y'all later.

Morning all
I just realized that when the results call comes at 12:30, I'll be just about in the middle if the gallbladder test.  If I can't answer at the time, I'm guessing that good news will be left on voicemail but probably not bad news.  I'll either get another call later or a voice message to call them...
I tried to shower off without getting the boob wet, as instructed....didn't work so I had to change the bandage.  The peeling off of the old one was torture.  However what almost caused me to pass out was glancing in the mirror...OMG!!  The poor shriveled up thing is some color between royal purple and India ink and a bit of both colors in many spots!  If it was much smaller I'd say it resembled a rotting prune!  (More giggles for you Frank)

Naturally my stomach/gallbladder hasn't been a big issue the last few days and I definitely WANT this test to indicate something so I went to meet friends for a dinner of all the stuff I shouldn't eat!  Hoping to get an answer with this test.

When I'm not singing Chris's praises for all the work he does, I'm just looking for a place to bury his body!  Had I not been almost late to leave for dinner, it might have turned into a bloody mess.  I realize he had just vacuumed the entire house and he was in the middle of feeding the dogs, but I poked my head around the corner and said his name to get his attention.  I just wanted to tell him that I had fed the cats already.  First he pretended not to hear but I heard him groan...so I repeated "CHRIS".  He looked up at me with a total look of frustration and kinda growled "What NOW"?  Like I had been on his butt all day when I actually had said very little.  That set me off.  Ruined my lovely Holiday mood...  I informed him that I knew he was busy but I do not want to be talked to with disrespect!  I don't know who screwed him up but he always replies the same no matter what I'm talking about..."BUT I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" which sounds like any 5 year old!  I HATE THAT!  I would have liked to light him up and set him on fire!  And I probably would have but I didn't want to be late.  I yelled to SHUT UP AND F OFF! and I walked out.  I had to play Christmas music all the way to dinner and force myself to sing along to try to change my mood before joining my friends.  I realize actions speak louder than words and I certainly can't complain about what he does but how he talks to me is another matter. He argues, yells and generally talks to me disrespectfully.  I do not put up with that and it has to stop, no matter how much I need the help.  I can hire someone else if I have to.  He's the one without options.  He reminded me yesterday that it was his job to do the work.  Well, you don't disrespect the boss and have a job very long, no matter who you are.

Time to go get ready for another lovely day at the hospital!  I can't have any water, coffee or anything si I'm ready to get this over and done.
