The top 2 favourites are USA Transfers and Canada Transfers

Canadian Transfers are slightly cheaper and you can order drinks

Research both

Have used USA transfers several times and always good luck. The driver has always stopped just outside of the airport and we were able to buy cold beverages at a 7-11 type store. The driver was always ontime, vans were clean, drivers sometimes didn't speak great English but others did and were very informative.

Good luck and have fun.

We used CARM on our last trip, great customer service, (if any of you USA transfers customers ever dealt with Trina at USA, she went out on her own and has CARM, cancunandrivieramaya.com.
They will also provide beer or soda in the van when they pick you up.

We have used Canada Transfers several times for our transfer... at Christmas our son came in at a different terminal than we did so we transferred from terminal 2 to terminal 3 using the bus that goes between the terminals... once we were there we found the transfer but no son.. they helped us find out where he was... which was in LA and would not arrive till the next day at 6:00 in the morning... they said don't worry.. we will be here to pick him up for you.. I did not have to make a reservation for him they were just there... they went above and beyond... and when they were 20 minutes late picking a guest up from our house to return her to the airport at 3:00 in the morning they gave us our money back... without us even asking... they are a fantastic company and knowing they are there at the end of a 12 hour day of airports and flights leaves me with no worries....Don't hesitate to use them.. and the cold clothes and the colder cervezas are nice touch too..

We have been using USA Transfer for last several trips. Always on time and never any issues. We prepay using Pay Pal so we do not have any issues having to have cash etc. They will stop just outside airport if you want to get refreshments to have on ride to your destination.

Here is an FAQ I put together for that "other forum"

Some facts

- Shared transfers as part of your package are great but will always take longer due to waiting for others to clear customs and get their luggage. Akumal is the last set of resorts so travel time is therefore longer
- Direct transfers means you share your van with others (so some extra wait/load time) but the van goes directly to your resort
- Private transfer - only your group direct to your hotel/resort - also allows a short stop to get drinks - longer shopping stops are at an extra cost - you must prebook these and cannot add extra people without notifying them ahead of time
- ADO buses are cheap (110-120 pesos) will take you into Playa or Cancun.
- Colectivo from the airport - not available
- Taxis (only one company called Yellow Transfers) - no need to prebook
- Airport website: This is the fake website - do not use it (http://www.cancun-airport.com/index.htm) - The real one is http://www.asur.com.mx/
- Paying is done online (US$) or paying in cash (US$) - you must pay for a round trip up front. Most will accept pesos as well and should use the official exchange rate
- It is easy finding your 'greeter' with their company shirts - they may have your name on a sign / maybe not - they will check your paperwork and then call in your vehicle - should take 5 minutes - don't forget to tip him/her - usually 20 pesos is appropriate
- Tipping your transfer driver - usually 100 -150 pesos each way - extra if more of you, they help you / stop at a store - buy the driver a drink
- Airplane gets delayed - all these companies monitor flight arrivals so they know of delays
- All of these companies offer excursion / van rentals
- If the transfer company wants to meet you at your resort to confirm your departure DONT - it is only an excuse for them to sell you tours

The following are the more popular trusted ones (in alpha order) - please add others - I have quoted prices in US$ for 3 people to Akumal. Infants that sit on your laps usually do not count. I hope I have posted correct info but pipe in if not. Each company has their loyal followers and some may have newer vehicles than others

We will need a one-way transfer from GOT to the Cancun airport, as our arrival is in Merida. Most of the one-way descriptions seem to be airport-to-hotel only. I'm a little concerned that we will be forgotten. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Any advice?

Taxis are usually just as cheap going back to the airport

But the private transfer vehicles are usually nicer , bigger, and you can pre-book

What time do you leave your resort/condo / hotel

Welcome

All transport companies want you at the airport 3 hrs prior. So likely a 1 PM departure from Akumal

I have always used USA transfers and they are great. This time I'm using Canada Transfers. They even have a 'live chat' feature on their site. Chatted with "Ramon" today about my return booking as it's 2 different places. No problem, already booked.

I've used Cancun Valet for years with 100% satisfaction. And you pay with a credit card 24 hours before your departure, no cash involved.
