USA Transfers

I am getting ready to contact USA Transfers for our upcoming trip to the Grand Sirenis. We used them last year and were very impressed, however according to their web site they no longer accept credit cards and must be paid in cash on arrival at the Cancun airport. Is this correct and if so are they still a good option for private transportation to and from the resorts in the Playacar area?

I am booked with them for Sept 3rd, and plan to try to pay them via paypal.like we usually do, but, haven't contacted them about it, so, as soon as I know, I'll let you know.

we just used them a total of 5 times for comings & goings to & From Tulum in the last month - paid Paypal & tipped our driver cash (pesos)...No problems what so ever. When you request the reservation just tell them in the notes section you want to pay via paypal

You can still pay them by credit card or paypal, they just don't accept credit cards at the airport. That's what that means on their site.

Booked with them for our upcoming trip. I replied to the first email that I wanted to pay in advance and they sent me a link to pay online. Easy peasy.

I've used USA probably 6 times and always paid cash on arrival. Seems strange I know and the first time I wondered if they would come back and pick us up for the trip home as they had been paid cash in advance. But we have always had excellent service and great communication. Vans and drivers were always nice and I'd use them in a heart beat.

The one thing I do is make the driver sign to say that bill was paid .I remember reading someone said that one driver took the money then later said they had not been paid.
I do believe this was one bad apple but it is always better to protect yourself from fraud .USA Transfer has always served us well prompt on time and good car or van . We are going to try Canada Transfers this time it was a much lower price[we were told they are just as good].

We used Canada Transfers twice on our recent trip, with excellent experiences both times. And you can pre-order $1 beers -- even choose the brands!

I also just used Canada Transfers and their service was very friendly and prompt. Loved having the cold beers all ready and waiting in the van for me when I arrived, and the cold face cloth was a relly nice touch. Plus their price is still a bit cheaper than USA. So I'd saymy first experience with them as a very positive one.
I have always used USA in the past but thought I would give these guys a shot to see how it all went.

We have used USA Transfers twice. Paid cash at the airport the first time and paid in advance by paypal the second time. Always excellent service.

sorry to hijack your thread, but i just placed my reservation for Canada Transfers and stated i would like 2 beers for the ride... however, my paypal invoice did not reflect the $2 beer charge. Should I contact them or do i just pay those with cash when i get there?

I've never used their service before, so just want to make sure I don't bother them if someone else can answer the question.

JH the charge for the beers is a seperate charge from the transfer charges and you pay them seperately. So you just pay the driver the $2.00 bucks when you get in, plus whatever tip you feel is appropriate as it is not included either.[:)]

Even if by mistake they showed up without the beers, you could get them to stop at the 7-11 on the hiway just outside the airport to pick some up. So you wouldn't be left hi and dry no matter what.

As Beachy said - there is a 7-11 just minutes outside the airport. The ones offered at the airport - just outside the doors "Coconuts Bar" or something like that are $$$$$

Have fun!

Hi travelon - Where do you stop for pillows? Was thinking of packing one from home, but might take up too much space. Thanks!
