El Comal de Akumal

Have you had a chance to stop by El Comal de Akumal? WOW! We had the quesadilla criminal that was a delicious mix of chicken in a fabulous sauce, poblano chile and corn. 30pesos!

Many thanks for the report, hope to try it some time this fall.
But I'm wondering if the "Pork Stake" is a little woody tasting?[;)]

In the tacón, I detected no woody taste at all. [;)] Isaac really knows how to get his flavors right. Plus, did you notice the prices?

You will love the food, Judi. Definitely not fast food--he makes his tortillas from scratch. My suggestion is to take a tupperware type container for them to fill with your order and enjoy your meal with a nice glass of wine out on the patio of your condo. We did that tonight. [:D]

As Frozen asked where is it located?

As you enter Akumal from the highway, it is on the left side of the road across from the parking lot . It is kind of sandwiched in just before the silver store. Parking is tough, but well worth the effort. [:)]

We'll definitely try it in November and its so easy for us since we are staying at ABR. That 's one of the reason, we love Akumal, easy access to the different cafe's and little shops. So nice to get off the reservation, so to speak, lol
