RE: Trip Advisor Top Ten Bargain Hotel
Seriously? I'm sure it's a nice enough place, but the 3rd highest-rated in all of Mexico? That's crazy, even if they're basing it on price. Not dissing it, and I'm sure Doug wasn't either, but huh? It's on a side street in the pueblo, so it doesn't have the beach, or a mountain, or the jungle, or even a charming village/city neighborhood surrounding it. For the 3rd-best bargain hotel in all of Mexico, I'd imagine the exterior location would come into play somehow.
I've heard it's a great place to stay, nice people, great price, and HC de Monterrey Super Carnes is a half-block away. Hmm, maybe the meat raised the level of the neighborhood? [:D]
