For all that have not been or those who would like to a refresher I have finally got my scanned pics in order. I have put 30 or so that will give a good idea of what to expect on your trip. Click the link and you can look at the individual or click on the slideshow button and it will do one after the other.

Great Pics CalgaryG. They really give a feel for what ABR is like. Thanks for putting them on. What kind of camera did you use to get the turtle?

Thanks for the photos. Gives us an idea of what we are looking forward to. With Xmas coming up, the 27 days will pass very quickly. I'm not sure we are computer literate enough to do any more than a written report on our return, Carol

The great thing about this resort is location to the wind. As you know there is usually always some kind of ocean breeze. At the north end of the bay and resort it is well sheltered and gets very little breeze or waves but at the southern end of the resort you get a better breeze and some waves. The breeze is nice if you are staying in bldgs 6 and 7 as they are on the breezy side of the resort. Nice to sit out on the balcony and not get fried.

Love the pics CalgaryGringo, especially the image of one of my favorite bars in the world (the swing bar at the beach).

WOW great pics,thanks so much for posting them.Is there any fresh water showers on the beach for rinsing off? Do they have the nice blue mesh chairs now? so much better than the plastic ones! 26 days to go!!!!!!!

Yes, there are showers and blue mesh chairs. If you promise not to tell anyone I'll tell you a secret. Look at the photo below. If you look all the way through the swing bar to the very back you can see a white marble enclosure for one of the fresh water showers. This one is so pretty that it gets most of the use, but if you go just around the corner to the right of it there are two more freshwater showers. They don't look as fancy so they don't get much use, but if you check them out, only the single shower on the right has both hot and cold water, I believe all the others at the ABR are cold only. The warm water is great after a few hours of snorkeling. Now don't tell anybody and you and I will be the only two people who know this.

Wow, I am so sad now! Was down there friday morning, back here friday night. I'm in withdrawal! Will definitely check out ABR for next time, or a condo.

just cruisin thru older threads and came across this one..
the showers were great for someone like me who has mega thick curly hair and caught lots of sand etc in it!! the pressure was great and hot too!!!

Thanks for the memories as they say. Those were our honeymoon pictures from last year and are ready to head back Nov 11. Can't wait for the second trip to ABR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
