Skyservice has acquired 2 new 767's that will be used to fly to Cancun over Christmas. Has anyone flown in one of these yet? (I've already heard all about the 767 that had a rather hard landing in Punta Cana.) I was most interested in the seat pitch compared to the Skyservice 757's which, thankfully, have been modified and are better than they used to be.

Wonder if they'll be flying them out of Vancouver and/or Calgary. Go to http://www.riubambu.com/RIU_WEB_PAGES/plane/maps.htm where there's seat arrangements and pitches, etc for many of the different planes. Pitch will depend upon how many Skyservice wants to squeeze in. I liked the little bit of extra room when we were on the 757 in December compared to the year before.

Skyservice is the pits for pitch. We've flow with them 3x and if it weren't for emergency row seating it would have been pure hell (DH is 6'4" and he's all legs). I've had friends on their 757s and it was as bad as the airbus A320s they fly.

I have flown in the 757's before and after they removed 3 rows to make the pitch better. It was much better the 2nd time, that is for sure. I was quiet happy with the service actually! The 767's will have 318 seats, have a 2 + 4 + 2 seating arrangement, which will be tight as far as width of seat is concerned. Usually 757's have a 2 + 3 + 2 arrangement. The seat pitch is the big unknown right now!

The airlines determine the seat pitch not the manufacture.

318? yikes! that's 74 more than the arrangements I included on my first post. You say seating for 757's is 2-3-2? Both times I've been on Skyservice's 757 it was 3 - 3. Actually the 2-4-2 is not bad as the most people you have to crawl over to get to an aisle is 1 whereas with the 757's 3-3 if you're next to a window that's 2 people to crawl over. Bob
