I never can sleep in when I am on vacation.
The sun is coming up and the birds are singing already.

Have a great Tuesday everyone

Still no sign of the forecast storms here, but I'm OK with that. There are still squishy areas in the lawn from the last rains. Lots of wind yesterday, though, so Mollie was Velcro-Dog all day.

Chris' foot is much better. He is still using the crutches, but the swelling is down and there is much less pain. They do not think it is gout...he is going for Lymphedemia treatment tomorrow. (this is basically as I understand it, a leg massage.) Hope this works.

BB- have a beer and go back to bed

Have a good day everyone, and if you are in the path of the storm system, stay safe! Cindy

Good Morning Campers and Lurkers

Sat out on the deck last night with a Modelo and a few fingers of Cabrito Reposado and watched the sun go down and listened to the birds. It does not get any better than that.

It is a good year for pear blossoms, the peach and cherry, not so much. We enjoyed more asparagus for supper last night and I noticed there is a tumbler in the refrigerator full of more spears.

Hope all you BRATS are having a great time, and I am looking forward to SoSo's pictures of her snorkeling trip to the south.

Good Morning clubbers!

Spent the day in Tulum yesterday.
I can see the charm, however, I felt like you could only go to a beach if you went into a restaurant. Also, the waiter told me we had to spend $20 each to sit in his chairs. I didn't like that rule, and Twirls told him $15. Still, I didn't like it. Mr JJ said he like Akumal better.
I want to have an inexpensive breakfast. I feel like every place we go, charges us $40. I haven't been able to verify if I'm one of those $1million dollar winners in MO yet!
Not sure what's on the agenda today.
Personally, I'm good with loading the cooler, sitting on the beach and watching the world go by.

Ya'll have a great day

Hey Gang, I haven't been on much, cuz I have been pretty busy... Mom had a couple small strokes and was in hospital for a week, got out and 4 days later came down with a gastrointestinal issue that required surgery - they fixed and hospital another 5 days, they let her out
and next day had a major stroke, in ICU a week, then Neuro floor for 5 days....Moved her to a Skilled Nursing facility last Friday. Mom is on the mend and resting comfortably.... Monday I got a call that our 5 month old grand daughter died in her sleep.... Now making plans for her Celebration of Life.

Oh and last night learned my 2nd cousin lost his home in Newcastle, OK. All the Oakie family members are accounted for and UN-harmed.

Life has been unkind recently, but in many ways, It's been so good to see some miracles out of the mix.

So very sorry to hear of the loss of your grand daughter.
My brother and sil lost their first to SIDS at 3 months old. Very hard on
all. Hugs to all.

Your mom is some kind of fighter and I wish her a speedy recovery.
Take some time for yourself as you will be support for both sides of your family.

Linds

Hola.

Xel, so sorry.

Yesterday was a cooler full of beer sitting between me and Mr JJ. When we called it a day, it was empty.
proceeded to LBV, then Lol Ha, then to Tequilaville and the food was excellent. We had coconut shrimp.

We've had loncheria, and we looked for emeldas the other night, but couldn't find it. we'll look again.

Met Travelon & her husband, & Bosco and his wife yesterday. Was fun to meet them!

Darn. it's already Wednesday

Good Morning Clubbers
Chris is off to his therapy session.

Xel, so sorry for your loss.

CC-Very cool photo. I'd love to witness a lightening strike like that. Love the Chicago skyline. West of St. Charles about 4 miles is Campton Hill, the highest point in Kane Cty. On a really clear day from the top of the hill you can see the Sears tower.

JJ- Imelda's is adjacent to the CEA building in the courtyard with the eco potties and the Diveshop.

Overcast and cool today, but at least the wind has died down. Got to do some serious sweeping on the front porch and the back deck...maple blossoms all over. The wind has swirled them into eddies and they stick together. Reminds me of the sargassum clumps on the beach.

Where's Snorky? Wonder if she ran off to Paris again?
Cindy

PS JJ please say Hi! to Sherry and Tom and Joe & wife.

Good Morning

Nope, not hiding out in Paris...........just been really busy. The garden is blooming at last and needs to be in shape for visitors. Our biggest sales weekend is usually Mother's Day - this year with the odd weather it is gearing up to be Memorial Day.

Also busy working horses and helping supervise the new crop of Interns at Barn #2. Temps have been in the 80s this week with high humidity - might as well be in Mexico.

Xel So sorry for all the heart ache lately. Loss of the little ones is especially difficult. Glad your Mom is doing better.

JJ Please tell all the other LG's that we said HI!

Cool pic CC!

Hump Away!

Looks like a great time. I consider it money well lost. Happy Anniversary T & J.

crutches help a lot, will now be able to make it to Jalisco's tonite.

Sure a walker wouldn't be more appropriate than crutches?

Good Morning Campers

Therapy went well learned a lot about lymph. Leg is wrapped in 4 compression bandages. Glad it is not in the 80's with high humidity, our 63 will work about perfect.

The only good jury duty is no trials.

Would like pix of the garden Pam. Our iris are not yet starting to bud. The purpleleaf plum outside the window is in full blossom.

Say hi to all the BRATS. Stick to your guns JJ you are on vacation somebody else has to cook all the meals and do all the cleanup.

Build thee an ark Pablo. We have a little lite rain this morning.

Time to quit fooling around on LG and go to work.

Enjoy Woden's Day
