Someone mentioned meeting at Casa Cenote on April 24th between 3:00 and 5:00. Is anyone interested? Also, would a different time work better for anyone? It sounds like the BBQ starts at 11:30? I don't even know where it is yet but I would love to have a few drinks with some fellow LG's and have a good BBQ. I think they have live music as well.

Hi fellow michigander. I didn't know the BBQ started at 11:30. I will try to make it there then. Where are you staying at?

Casa Cenote is on TankHa Bay (just north of Tulum).

I can go, but lets set a specific time frame when LocoGringos will try to be there. Are we talkin' noon to 2:00'ish or 3:00 to 5:00'ish?

Hello fawnms from Michigan. We are staying at the Catalonia Riviera Maya, just up the road a few miles in Puerto Aventura. And I think that the BBQ starts then but I also think it goes most of the day. I will do more research and post it here.

Q said that the BBQ starts at 11:30 and goes until after dinner time (maybe 5ish). I think I read on her trip review thread that the band stopped at 4:00 and I think that is in the after noon. ha ha ha My husband and I are flexible it is just a quick cab ride for us. We could do like 2:00 to 5:00 that way if some can not get there until 3:00 or so they still have time to visit. Or we could start early if people have things to do in the afternoon. Start posting what time would work best for you and we will see what we can come up with.

I vote noon too. And to be honest I will probably still be there at 3:00 so if someone is coming late I'll see you there.

Ok, I just went through the April Roll call and sent pm's to all that will be around on the 24th. So, I hope we don't miss anyone who wants to meet up. Oops I might have sent one to someone who is leaving on the 23rd. That was not very nice...sorry it was not intentional. We will miss you.

LG BBQ Party on the24th!!!!!!!!!!! Now if my cooler comes before I leave, I will have the perfect hat to wear.

Oceanaddict - you may be refering to me and hubby- we leave home on the 23, and would love to join you guys- however! we will probably be asleep still! we just got our flights confirmed and we arrive Cancun at 2 am on the 24! Couple hours til we're checked in. Then a little sleep! Now don't you guys start with me, about wasting time sleeping while on vacation in the Roo! We'll be there for two weeks, and found out we get an extra day at the end, so we can afford to nap a little! Then again, after all the travel we might be running on adrenaline and need a BBQ!.............If we don't make it, have one for me! Cervesa, tequila, etc..........

Yea!!! Well I just talked to my sister and she says pencil us in for the BBQ on the 24th!!!
It's one of our days off so depending on how everyone feels after we spend the entire day at Xcaret on the 23rd we'll try and make it!!! YEEE Hawww!!! Now if any of you LGs feel like meeting us on the 23rd I thought I'd let that invitation stand here...we'll be there from 9am to 9pm. We can leave and come back but I doubt anyone will want to do that, since we're planning on eating dinner there and seeing the night show...Let me know if any of you want to meet up there (Xcaret) or even somewhere really close by. All right Deb!!! I don't know what you had to bribe them with but us Locogringos will make it worth the trip. I think I have read through out the threads that if you have a cooler bring it because we are going to do some Tequila shots and have a cooler fashion show.

That sounds great! You poor the Tequila in and I will drop in the lemon wedge and the salt and try to put the top on the egg before it spills. We can assign someone else to lick the sides of the eggs if they start to leak. Do we hide them in the sand?
