I have added a new movie that will show you how to add an avatar to your posts or how to replace your existing avatar. Click here for my movie page.

Enjoy,
Whale

VdP,

As far as watching the movie, go here to download the newest version of Windows Media Player and see if that helps. It's free from Microsoft. I think some versions of XP had Windows Media player version 7 which will not play the movie. It is usually also a good idea to go here to the Windows update site and keep your version of XP updated (if you don't already have automatic updates turned on). It's also free from Microsoft.

If you already have a file with the right dimensions saved, just go into your profile, tell it to upload your picture, click browse and browse to the file you have saved. Click OK and it should upload your avatar file. If it does not work or gives you an error message check the file properties by right clicking on the file name on your computer and make sure that the file size is no bigger than 10K (I don't know if a file that is exactly 10K will work or if it needs to be 9.99K) and that the pixel size is no bigger than 145 X 145. Once you have your file loaded, the very important last step is to scroll to the bottom of the profile page and click Apply. That should do it. Just ask for help if you get stuck anywhere.
