Just what I needed!! A little snow to cool off the Roo fever (14" so far)!! Oh well, the bathtub WAS getting a little boring. To bad all you southern folks can't do this. I count myself lucky.

Once again, proper gear is essential! This ain't the Caribbean baby. Get serious .

HERE WE GO!!!

Not bad for a first attempt but there seems to be a boyancy issue. I need a weight belt!!

AHHHH. That is MUCH better. Time to head for the bottom!

The visibility doesn't seem to be very good!! It's important to come up every once in a while to check the surroundings.

DON'T NEGLECT THIS SURFACE CHECK!! IF YOU FORGET, THIS CAN HAPPEN!!

You might think that the fish would be hard to find but the Zoo tries hard. Among some treasures left by the dog (gotta clean this yard up in the spring) I found this snow booty!!

As always, hydration is key. I found the perfect answer to this for SNOW SNORKELING (besides, he owes me for the mouth full of yellow snow)!!

Fulerzoo, you are TOO fuuny !
you saved my day - I usually really like my job most days but today was not one one of them. I was about ready to go out and throw myself into the snowbank, but now I'll at least wait til I can get home & get my snorkel and do it properly ! I really needed to laugh and get things back into perspective - so THANK YOU very much for your wonderful sense of humor !

fullerzoo.........LMAO!!! So this is how you practice holding your breath for the long underwater time to shoot the perfect picture. I applaud your creativity. We need another category other than the edge to save all the hilarious, talented Loco Gringo postings........this one is priceless!!!

Lynne......hoping to miss the snow in Illinois

It's a meadow vole. Cousin to a mouse. I have to board my windows and doors to keep the devil hoards from taking control of the homestead. I have about 200 nailed to my barn wall as a warning to other voles. NO, THEY ARE NOT CUTE AND FUZZY. THEY ARE A MAJOR CARRIER OF DEER TICKS WHICH SPREAD LYMES DISEASE. I've had Lymes disease 3 times. Hmmmm, maybe that explains some things!!???

Zoo - this is such an educational thread that I'm doing my best to bring it back up to the top while people are driving home (depending on time zones, etc) because I would hate to see it relegated to the "next" page too quickly. Anyhow Zoo, if it is......you can count on me to resurrect it (after all I have to get some practice in for our church's easter thingy!) later this evening, after I get back from dinner at a fine restaurant in Ottawa!!!! I'm taking my wife out to celebrate the third Friday this month!!!!

We are all humbled, fz. This was great! Too bad you didn't see any turtles this time, though.

This is hilarious! Great post fulerzoo! You need an agent... Thanks for posting this -it really cheered me up!You are definitely ready for vacation. I don't think this "incident" is enough to send the men in white coats after you, but nailing the voles to the barn wall?? That might just do it!

I just showed this to my wife ......which was really hard because I couldn't do it without constantly wiping my eyes!!! I have to admit that even she was wiping hers!!!!!!!

Of course, I showed her the bathtub snorkeling one first!!!!
