Do they sell USDA inspected meat outside of the U.S? I realize we import beef to mexico, does that meat go through the same inspection process?

All meat processing plants in the United States are under the jurisdiction of the USDA so any meat from the US will have come from a USDA inspected plant, but I doubt that you will find a USDA stamp on it in Mexico. However, meat does have to be approved for export to Mexico and the Mexican government has import rules. This may be more than you want to know, but if you really want to damage your brain HERE are the requirements from Mexico (from USDA so in English). Whale

I read somewhere on this board that USDA beef can be found in MR but it's a rarity and expensive ( imported )...Maybe, someone more experienced in the area can shed more light.

I'm damn near positive that I don't want to read those requirements.

Yes, you need to be a member but they sometimes have day passes available (and add 10% to your bill). OK

Yes. It is very similiar to Sam's in the States...Right down to the Rotisseri Chicken. However, they do have a number of local items. We stopped first at Sam's and got what we could find in reasonable sized packaging (Soda, Pork Chops, Chicken, etc) and then went to Chedraui for the rest. However, we could not find peanut butter or shaving cream at either. Go figure.

Does anyone know how much it would be to take a cab to Sam's Club from Vista del Mar in HMB. Are cabs readily available or will we have to ask our cab driver to wait. This is our first visit south of Playa and not sure how the taxis work. Thanks.
