Ok…this should be the end….this is taking me forever… So..we head to Turtle Bay for Breakfast…… [image] [/image] then we mosey on over to check the web cam out, we are supposed to wave to our kido’s… and it’s a little early, so we decide to spend some money on a glass bottom boat to see turtles, not necessarily because we can’t snorkel, but because we are so damn full from breakfast… we can’t swim…. So… we find Marcos, who is wonderful, a 19 year old, and his father has 3 boats, 2 fishing and the glass bottom. Marcos and his brother and father run all three of them, and the boats that are in Akumal… are the last ones, no more are allowed so he tells us… [image] [/image] He is fun to talk to and shows us many many Tortugas…. He gets pretty excited… and that was part of our fun. He knows the bay really well, every rock, piece of coral, name of coral and some of the names of the fish! [image] [/image] After that we decide to head over to one of our favorite beaches, Xel Ha, and see if Nicco is still bartending. He is, and we have a couple of Julio’s with him, now you have to remember from my trip report last year, Nicco is the one that taught me not to bother with Margarita’s, drink the Julio straight, sip it slowly, and you will never ever have a hangover! So far I think it has worked for me, not too sure about Greg. Greg is convinced that when you wake up, you need to snorkel or swim, and that re-hydrates the body thru the skin, and that is why he dosen’t have hangover… [image] [/image] I play with a little boy in the surf... and we just generally enjoy the sun, surf and sand... [image] [/image] [image] [/image] After 3 or more hours on beach, we decided to drive to Punta Allen. The beaches are beautiful, we made it almost all the way, but we ran out of time. We were chased off one beach by a federale.. but there are more than one! [image] [/image] Anyway, after that, we go home, and have a quiet dinner, romance, and the rest is for us! Aww… I love being just the two of us! The next morning, we decide to drive to Valladolied.. After we watch the sunrise.... [image] [/image] I have no idea if I am spelling this correctly, but what an incredible experience. The public square is beautiful, [image] [/image] the church divine, [image] [/image] the street venders exquisite, and the food superb. I could have spent all day here, and then the night, but we didn’t plan that out well enough. We then drove to the Cenote, and a little man by the name of Alex…asked if we needed a guide.. so here he is… [image] [/image] AND THIS IS CALLED THE ELEPHANT...... [image] [/image] I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to know more and see more of the Mayan history. Vayodoleed…. I can spell it the way you prounounce it…….is an old city that was named by the Spanish for the city that Queen Isabella was married in back in Spain. The Mayan’s were allowed to keep their culture, their art, their religion and their way of life and it is still that way today. The next morning….after an incredible sunrise… [image] [/image] .we decide to go to Yal ku to snorkel. It is early, about 7:00 so we head to Turtle Bay… those dang cinnamon rolls are partly responsible for these 5 more lbs I brought home. Yal ku was the best I have ever seen. One statute was knocked over in the water, but WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE! This was the one time I was not missing tourists to the area, or feeling bad there was a lack of them. [image] [/image] I don’t have a scanner, and the underwater pics we took were the disposable, but the fish were many, the water was clear, there are now turtles and a barracuda out towards the opening…. And the fish were many times more. You would be swimming along, and look behind you, and be followed by 100’s of fish… all different kinds. Next time, I bring a fish identity book, I want to know all of em… I saw the most beautiful angel fish, about a foot long and almost as wide….You have to go if there… just go at 8:00, when they open, as the vans bringing tourists show up about 9:30 ish…. Thursday was kinda a lazy day… we got a massage from this incredible person, and made a new friend. If anyone wants a spiritual experience, please pm me and I will explain, but I don’t want to go way out there with this private experience on the forum, but I will share privately. We also went to the Lol Ha party, met Kay and Greg got to meet Gary, we met some, but not all of the other LG’s there…. [image] [/image] And Greg dranks lots of Julio….I did… but I ate food….. It was fun! They are building a huge new pallapa roof on the Lol Ha… [image] [/image] we were visiting with the lady who works in the gift shop, and she those (men) were boys..18-23 years old.. It was quite beautiful watching them all working together to build this roof, no equipment, no safety lines, no ladders, no hard hats… yet, they were smiling, waving, having fun and quite comfortable way up there! [image] [/image] Friday…our last day…. What to do, what to do…. Nothing………..Enjoy…. Here are some special pictures, of our caretakers, Jose and Gaity…. [image] [/image] Of sunrises… [image] [/image] Just memories…. [image] [/image] Hope you all have the piece of Paradise we did, and we will return… SOON! The end of something,,,, is always the beginning of something new and wonderful! [image] [/image]

I want it ALL...give it up girl!!! And I am thinking that you have the sign html code of [IMG] at the front of your photos or [/IMG] at the end....when you just need to replace that with only [image] for front and [/image] for end.....that is why some of them are a little out of wack....either way you did a super job!!! Congrats chica! Mags

Vicki - Wonderful, wonderful pics - just loved them. Valladolid is a beautiful town. We only spent a couple of hours there, on the way home from Chichen Itza, but would love to spend longer.
