This is a great Ted Talk. Don't know if any of it was filmed in the Akumal area so it may be on the wrong forum but I thought everybody should see and enjoy it regardless. Sue Austin

4wheeled, are you ready to try it?

i've tried snorkelling but don't feel comfortable doing it....

i know guys that scuba and love it, but it's never appealed to me much...

but THIS.....sign me up!

being able to control the chair (which would be easy to rig up) would be the deciding factor for me.

seeing the wonders below are great, but being able to move where and when you want to is the thing.

I noticed that it appears to have two propellers underneath the seat in addition to the two fins. Looks like a pretty compact setup. I wonder if she had this custom made and if she or anybody else sells them. If so, it's only a matter of time till somebody in the RM gets them. They seem to be pretty cutting edge down there with new things, i.e. the floating chairs and the jets ski powered platforms on here recently.

Her chair looks like it would be pretty easy to do loops and air(water)obatics in it. Pretty cool.

i'd seen the video before and searched and followed some links to find the propulsion things. they're the kind of things divers use to jet around with. i'm guessing someone was controlling her chair via remote control.

artistically it worked but i doubt it was a practical model....not even considering the boyancy aspect.

it is a neat idea though. i'd be all over it if there was one!
