We have used Gessica's grocery service every time we have gone down... Her service is exceptional.. And we would not hesitate to recommend her.... nothing beats getting there with everything already there... Just start the holiday...

The transfers will make a 1 hr stop. You'll have to let them know you want that in advance, and there is a charge. Not sure what the current fee is, but it should be $25-30. I prefer to go to the store and pick up what I want food wise. I like to see what looks good, and we always find a few new and different things to try. My preference has been Mega or Chedraui. Sorianna is more convenient to 307. Either one really is fine.

New Chaudraui in Puerto Aventuras is a great, quick stop. The new Chaudraui isTulum is huge! We always stop on the way into Akumal so we're good to go!

Went to the fairly new Chedraui near Playa Ave. and it was dirty and the produce choice was terrible. We then went to the new one in Tulum, and it was best by far. I would suggest Soriana...we have always had good luck there. Get your booze at the duty free at the airport...much cheaper. Don't forget the open air market on Sat and Wed. in Akumal...plus...the stands over in the pueblo are great. We bring down bagged tuna and miracle whip, which you can't find down there, and a few spices from home. Be aware Chomak is priced for tourists...I once paid $6 for a cheap jar of pickles that in the states Save-a-lot stores are $1.50...just so you know...

We like stopping at Chedraui in Puerto Aventuras. It's right off the highway, and is big enough to get all we need and want for the week but way smaller than a Walmart or Sams' stop. I am also OCD on being prepared and like to bring ziplocks with coffee, splenda, tea bags, baggies for lunches on the beach, spices, etc. Some things are cheaper in Mexico but lots of things aren't! We spend under an hour on the way in and are then good to go for the week. Have fun planning and then just relax .

We have our shuttle stop at Soriana in Playa. Have always found what we need there at a reasonable price. Then we fill in with anything we run out of at Chomak. It is pricey, but at that point I'm more interested in getting back to the beach. One note though. If you are a coffee drinker bring your own with you. We have yet to find any coffee in Mexico which we consider palatable, and I love taking that first cup out onto the beach for a sunrise!
