I'm highjacking this thread . . .

SansClothes - so, you're the expert on Hawaii?!?!?! Is there a website or bulletin board similar to LocoGringo's? I'm looking for info on places to stay on Hawaii and also the north shore of Oahu. For such an incredible vacation destination, the "local" and off-the-beaten track info online is pathetic. Makes me appreciate the LG community all the more. Do you have any resources oyu're willing to share

LG is a very unique thing.....and I don't know of another forum like it for Hawaii. Too bad, because it would be a huge help! Hmmmm, maybe there's a business opportunity just waiting!

(Top secret info, but the North Shore has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Pacific....and worthy of your time! It's very laid back and depending on where you go, you can have a beach to yourself!)

There are very few places to stay on the North shore...but there are a couple as I recall. Turtle Bay comes to mind. Let me wander to TA for a second........

Top secret tip-o-the day!
Walk from Turtle Bay along the beach. This is a nice sandy beach that fronts a golf course yet secluded by trees. If you're up to a bit of a walk and have a hankerin' for private beach, you're in business!
