I'll be walking from Vista Del Mar, is Jade Bay and South Sur worth the walk on the beach? I love walking and if these areas have more to offer than the areas in front of the dive shops and ABR I would love to see them!

Very doable, but plan on about an hour or so both ways. Pack the flip flops and wear shoes, as you're going to need them traversing the ironshoal on the points. Going at low tide is your best bet. Above all, enjoy your trek!

nive to walk the 2 bays - not much in restaurants but good for peeking at villas
Similar to half moon Bay although snorkeling at HMB is better

Wear tevas or other sturdy tennis shoes. It's a work out because the sand is so soft and a steeper grade.
You could go all the way to The Grand Oasis resort ( the palapa you see way off in the distance way out on the point looking south from akumal) and then cut through somewhere thats not private property, walk up to 307 and take the access road back.
