Looking at the webcam, I always wondered...."do those people even know its there?"
DH and I had made a sign to hold up in front of the webcam, for our kids to see. It was early in the morning, as we made our way down to the cam. When we got there, there was an family perched on the corner of the Lol-Ha steps. We say Hello and start unrolling our sign. The woman turns to the man and says something to him in German. We keep smiling and waving at the cam. However, to them it appeared we were greeting them. The man walks up to us and motions for us to "squeeze together". We again smile and point to the cam and say "internet". I mean, its an international word...right?
He came over, took our picture and said..."yes, Facebook!" DH and I were rolling with laughter, as we can only imagine the story behind their "picture". I am sure it went something like...."crazy Americans, walked right up to us, showed us their sign and said "interent". How are we suppose to know who they are!" I would have hoped they figured it out, or they were busy that day taking total strangers pictures!!
