newbies here..we are just about 2 weeks out from La Joya...after reading alot of the restaurant reviews we are looking forward to eating at the following places.... our question: what do you think is THE "absolute, must have, can't miss" at the following... 1.) Que Onda 2.) Cueva Del Pescador 3.) Turtle Bay 4.) La Lunita 5.) TequillaVille? We know it's much to ask, and probably been covered....but we really would like some input.....thanks Kevin and Mary

They're all great, really! Que Onda - Pasta Maribel or Viva Mexico Cueva - The whole fried fish, of if you don't like it staring at you, the fish fillet, breaded or in garlic and butter. The ceviche is awesome too! Turtle Bay - everything, every meal La Lunita - everything Tequillaville - I actually haven't eaten there much, but it's always great!

I do have to say that on our longer trips, after about 10 days of eating mostly seafood, I really crave a big juicy hamburger and Turtle Bays' is one of the best I have had anywhere!

If you have the time try Imeldas which is located behind the CEA building. They are open for lunch and have good food and a great price. All of your other choices are great too. CB

Sadly , the tacos from Lucy's tacos were no longer available from Turtle Bay the new owners at their main restaurant unless something has changed recently . We love everything else there . You don't have La Buena Vida on your list , one of your closest options . We've only had a few meals there but they were wonderful . Here's a commercial that's been running lately at my house , Pretty funny http://vimeo.com/58403480

As is the Loncheria for good cheap eats. Yes... you must try the Loncheria lunch counter. I agree. Cheap, authentic, good and fresh. Neat atmosphere as well.
