According to a March 1 online article by Mail Online.com, from Britain's Daily Mail, a huge influx of spring breakers is expected in Cancun. This is due to the violence in resort towns, like Acapulco, on the Pacific coast that is causing many to avoid traditional spring break favorites.

Here they come...

Unless things have changed and you are not staying in Cancun you shouldn't have a problem with Spring Breakers....

Cancun's airport during spring break sucks. Last time we were there customs and immigration took almost 3 hours.

Reading some of the local online papers the numbers that are being put out are 30,000 spring breakers for the season. Some of the resorts/hotels in the Cancun area are reporting 75/80% full at this time.

Tulum hotels reported 98% occupied for Christmas break but Yes, I'm pretty sure this is mostly North of PDC

we here in colorado have the same experience with spring breakers.
no biggy, as they take over our mountains for 3 weeks the rest of the
time its ours. we do actually feel greatful they come. it means a great deal
to our economy to have them here.
when your a tourist based town ya gotta deal with it.

We have NEVER gotten into airport lines IF we take the earliest arriving flight available, which I always do! More beach time too!

Lol.....I'm from the Jersey Shore. A "blaze orange army" invades us every year just after memorial day and they don't leave until labor day.
