Is a Tsuru good enough to haul two people and luggage to Xcalak? I think Easyway will deliver one to Akumal from PDC or Tulum. Other suggestions? Thanks!

I would say yes. To me it's basically a Nissan Sentra. But be aware, sometimes the car companies upgrade you if the Tsuru is unavailable.

Plenty of room...but...a Tsuru is basically a re-badged 1980's model Nissan Sentra that used to be sold in the US. When you drive one, you will be amazed how far vehicle comfort has come.

Yes, any car will be fine. The roads are paved all the way to Xcalak town. It's just the coastal roads that are sand, but you can drive them in any sized car.

Heck we took a tsuru out the road to Punta Allen and all over the Yucatan on dirt roads. Put over 2k km's on it. It will go anywhere.

Yep, drove it in a Tsuru and also a VW Jettta. Be careful driving on the road to Xcalak after you take the turnoff from the Mahajual road, we hit a pretty good size pothole and loosened the bumper, Easyway only charged us about $50. Loved Xcalak, be sure and eat at Leaky Palapa.

How long does it typically take to drive from Tulum to Xcalak?
