As Doug and I were pulling out of Bacalar, we got a rainy stretch. Drove thru some heavy downpours, but the sky started to lighten a bit by Tulum. We had planned to make the scene at the nude beach on Tulum playa, but the weather just didn't cooperate. So we went back up to Aventuras Akumal a little earlier than planned. With only about a week left in the area, I wanted to hook up with the folks at ScubaMex in Paamul. I saw Jim Rennick who did my one on one dive cert last year, and made plans for a refresher dive and a camera dive. The first of those days were a washout because of the weather, but the second was a perfect dive morning. There were 17 in the dive boat, but I was lucky to be on it because of previous arrangements. One of the evenings, we went into Chemuyil and ate at Leo's Pizza. We met Sharoon and Steve, and I finally got a good look at her tat. Hope she doesn't mind the post, but she's shown it in an avitar so I don't think she'll mind. And on the last day in the condo, we donned our DPMT (Doug, Patricia, Marguarite, and Tomas) reunion T shirts, and Linda Day helped take some pix. I see that there was alcohol involved. I guess that would be a good bet on any given day. Here's some of the pix I could find. Some of the pix I can't find were of Glenda and Lorna, Roger and Carol, Barbara and Jim?, as we celebrated Marguarite's retirement with music and dancing on the patio. I was making mango margs as fast as I could for Lynn's relative's And of course wodka sodas. And cuba libras. And probably shots of 100 Annos reposado. Here's some of the evidence. That's the most crowded RM dive boat I think I've ever seen. I'll stick to the shop I use... and the times of the year I travel... we rarely have more than 4 on the boat. The Cozumel shops I use have 6 person limit. Any u/w pics from your dives?

I'm still new enought that I feel most comfortable hiring one-on-one for both.As it turned out, the first day was cancelled because of rain and high winds. The second day was sunny and calm. There were 17 on that boat, and I mwas lucky to be one of them. The refresher went really well, but I had to take pix with my heart. Today I was workin' on some snorkel pix from Hol Chan reserve in San Pedro. Some are pretty good (IMHO). I'll be posting some of these maybe later tonight. TMB
