Back in 03, there was what they called a glass bottom boat in akumal bay, the boat was in rough shape back then, am wondering if its still there? havent seen anyone mention it...thanks.

No answer....am assuming the boat sank?..lol....but know if it was there, some one wouldve said something bout it...too bad, it was great for kids!

I saw it out when I was fishing last year. It was a very rough day and the people on it were looking at the fish over the side instead of through the bottom. I really don't know anything else about it other than it was there.

haven't seen it for over a year

did not enjoy it as it motored through the whole bay scaring snorklers

Perhaps CEA told them boat lane only

It was there in Feb '12. I don't know if it was staying in the bay but I saw it come in to drop off the guests. We stayed away from it as everyone was hanging over the sides, suffering from extreme sea sickness. Feedin the fish

thanks for info...am laughing b/c back in 03, we couldnt see through the "glass" bottom, its very badly scratched plexi glass of poor quality.We had to look over the sides too....to actually see the fish and plant life. and imagine, its much worse now....lol.thanks.
