Greetings!

We are doing some research for a family vacation in or near Akumal.

We really like the house at Tankah Bay, Casa Rosa.

We are curious about the beach and snorkeling in Tankah Bay. We will have 8 adults, 4 children ages 12, 8, 4 and 2.

Can you LG's give me your thought on Tankah Bay?

Thanks,

Vicki

If Akumal is a Cadillac, Solimon Bay is a Buick, Tankah is an Isuzu.
Very quiet and peaceful though.

We have stayed at Casa Rosa 3 times and retuning in March for our 4th!
Absolutely love the Casa.
Although the sand is not powder soft like Tulum or Akumal Bay it is a great beach for quiet walks and the snorkeling is AWESOME! Lots of coral and fish, even saw a Ray once.
Only 2 restaurants in Tankah, Casa Cenote and Blue Sky........We have Bernardino and Maria cook for us and their cooking is out of this world with plenty of leftovers.
We usually head into Tulum Pueblo, Leo's in Chemuyil and Chamico's for other meals.

Would be happy to answer more specific questions you may have.

Karen

I second tendebar... Casa Rosa is great! Ask Noel to talk you about turtles... he knows everything about them!

Wow! That looks nice, and reasonably priced. We have stayed in Villa Gummerson which is right next to Casa Cenote. Very convenient. Also reasonably priced.

Which bay is it that folks have complained about so many roaming dogs & their, um... leftovers?

I'd like to avoid that one
