Not trying to be nit-picky, but there's severe wash-out during the daytime hours. Don't recall seeing this until just recently.

Seems like I noticed it sometime after the new camera was installed.

Maybe a polarizing filter? Might cut the glare.

Glad to know it wasn't just me, and yes, I also seemed to notice it after the camera was put up. I'm grateful for the webcam, but agree the old one had a much better picture and clarity, IMO.

Somehow the picture always looks better when there are women in bikinis present. That is a pretty good exposure setting.

Zorro says this is a spare camera which does not have an auto iris like the one before. So, you'll just have to put up with it until it is changed out.

Is that why it's such a small view?

I definately noticed it after the new camera. It appears that there is no auto-exposure going on - maybe a setting? I can't believe there wouldn't be. By default it should unless they have it on a "manual" setting where it doesn't adjust automatically. IF someone posts what type of camera it is, I can do the research....

Thanks Whale, makes sense. Like I said, no big deal. Doesn't stop me from getting my hourly beach fix.
