Just go to the main Akumal beach and maybe Yal-Ku Lagoon, eat lunch at La Buena Vida or the Lol-Ha, also the Loncheria has cheap food (no drinks, you can buy beer next door at the Super Chomak), but for just one day I would go with the toes in the sand choice for max enjoyment.

For that kind of $$ you can rent 2 golf carts by the arch in Akumal & drive back to Yal Ku Lagoon & snorkle there & ride back turn in golf carts & hang out by Lol Hol on the beach & snorkle there after lunch.

jamie3p - just south of the Lol-Ha main restaurant (not the beach bar and snack bar) there is a cyber cafe which sells coffee drinks and ice cream and just south of that is Loquito's Taco's which are supposed to be good. Turtle Bay Cafe and the new Lucy's location are to the left when you enter the arches (Lol-Ha is to the right), along with Cueva del Pescador, so lots of choices. Have fun, lots of choices
