Are they open? I just wanted to confirm that our favorite spots are going to be open for our trip in April. I just read that they might have closed.

Just read in the Akumalian today that Que Onda is indeed open again for meals. Check out the Akumalian for the details. I'm sure Lucy's tacos and ice cream is open well.

Tom did they shut down the kitchen over by El Pueblito?? It was open last time I was down. I was able to get shrimp tacos and ice cream then.

Que Onda is just a fraction of it's old self now, but supposedly they still have housemade pasta.

Maribel has confirmed QUE ONDA is back in its mini version.
THE RESTAURANT BAR DELI
9am to 11 caffe-cappuccino-americano + newspaper + croissant + fresh juice
5pm to 9.30 fresh made pastas and lasagnas & special's & desserts
DELICATESSEN order at advance for dishes to go or prepared at your place! EVERY SUNDAY TACOS AL PASTOR 1 pm to 9 pm
I may have to do the tacos in 3 months

OK fine....no more Lucy's as it was  .
So maybe Turtle Bay management can assuage the grief by building a little stand between the parking lot and the restaurant, stick a picnic table next to it with a bright yellow plastic 'tablecloth' on it, and staff it with some sweet local ladies who let you watch while they make your meal.
Problem solved! :-D
P.S. One week to go...please god don't let me die before I get back to Akumal.
