Hello All - Long time lurker...small time poster. After about 7 years of loving HMB rentals, I really want to buy a place in Chan Chemuyil. It's really hard to find information about it though! Does anyone know of a forum or group that I can post questions to active homeowners? Also, I have talked with 2 real estate people but it does not seem like they are interested in selling these small places. They try to steer me into purchasing bare land or a bigger, more expensive homes. I want to be in the Chan Chemuyil community. It looks so friendly and welcoming and I adore how all the houses are individually painted and decorated. Any help would be greatly appreciated - especially if anyone has the name/number of the agent they used to buy their place. Thanks! Roolover

Loco Gringo hosts this site and makes money through property rentals among other things . One of their few rules would concern other property rental sites using this forum to potentially take money from them . There is a Chan site with message board but it also lists rental units . Buying is one thing but I wasn't impressed with rental prices compared to the LG stable of Condos . Google away .

Hi, I also own a place in Chan-Chemuyil. Fire away with the questions. I will do my best to answer. If you want to call just send me a PM and I will give my cell phone. Dave

If you drive over there you can find a guy that is repping a couple of properties. Just ask someone over there. We just drove over and looked. There are signs on a few places with phone numbers. We looked last year but I wasn't so sure I wanted to move to Mexico to be with a bunch of ex-pats (no offense meant, we met some really nice folks there). Now I may reconsider and take another look this time. What we saw was around $100k +/- in Jan 2012

Another happy CC homeowner here. My neighbor there represents homes for sale in the neighborhood. Shoot me a pm if you like and I'll give you his contact info. Kim

Where is this beach exactly? Any access area? Our transport driver was trying to tell us about it. He said we could walk to it from ABR?

Thanks everyone for all the PM's and the great information! I am ready to commit - just gotta find the right place now. Look forward to meeting all our new "neighbors" on our next trip! Could have planned better - just got back December 17th after 18 days there.
