My husband no longer has a mask and snorkel. Is it easy to get a good one there in Akumal or nearby or should we grab one before leaving? Prices compared to here?

YOU CAN BUY STUFF AT THE DIVE SHOP NEXT TO THE CEA OFFICE. BUT, I WOULD BUY A MASK BEFORE YOU LEAVE TO MAKE SURE IT FITS WELL. SOME PLACES RENT EQUIPMENT, ALSO.

Go to your local dive shop to get your mask and snorkel before you leave. They will properly fit a mask to your face. Everyone's face is a different shape and size, and not every mask will properly fit your face.There is nothing worse than a leaky mask while snorkeling. A dive shop will usually have a better seclection and better quality. The prices at home will probably be cheaper than in Mexico.

This is good advice. I did purchase a mask & snorkel in Akumal after mine were stolen, however, I purchased the same mask I had- just the spanish version! I could not find a good snorkel to compare with the one I had, so I purchased another when I got back home...

go to dive supply.com goob stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check out the cabo deal 75.00 us 5 day you got it I just got mine 19 days cozumel vest everthing you need the edge is good stuff
