Great video, thanks for sharing. It makes me feel a bit guilty for wanting to go there...I guess as others have said I just need to do my part while I am there to respect the water.

Great video , it's sort of a follow up to Coral Connections with a similar theme from a few years ago , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2UuH8LevVk At times there is a very strong sulphur smell in Playa Del Carmen these days on the main beaches . There are a lot of differing theories on the cause including hydrogen sulphide from rotting mangroves or buried seaweed and the other main theory is that the smell is from sewage as that is what it smells like . Either way the wholesale dredging and destruction of the old seabed including cenote vents , just to improve the beach is the cause of the smell one way or the other , in my opinion . Enjoy the natural beauty in the Roo , while you can .
