Hi Puppylove. If you want to create a brand-new thread, go to the forum you want to post in. Just above the list of topics you'll see a breadcrumb trail - "All forums>>[Riviera Maya]>>Akumal & Riviera Maya Forum". Just to the left of that you'll see a lighter blue "New Post" image. Click on that. Took me quite a while today to find it too.

If you just want to reply to someone else's thread, find a "post reply" link in the same place if you're reading a thread, or there's a "reply" link in the top right of each post.

Hey there fellow Loco's
I'm pretty new to this site but it seems to be a great group of people who all seem willing to help each other out with info on the Mayan Riviera, so lets get to know each other a little better with a simple introduction form, of course your participation is totally voluntary.

1. name or LG board name
2. place you live ie: state/territory/country
3. number of visits to Akumal/Riviera Maya and when you are going back
4. favorite area activity
5. favorite vacation drink

1.) Name is Arkansasgurl
2.) DFW
3.) I have been to Mexico, more than 30 times.  I used to always go to Cozumel and fell in love with Riviera Maya a few years back.  Specifically, the Playa Maroma/Puerto Morelos area.  I also love the East side of Cozumel SO MUCH
4.) I am there as a beach enthusiast.  I love the beach and ocean, although I cannot swim.
5.) Tequila is my drink of choice.  I love a margarita, but almost everyone makes them too sweet.  Gotta be the right blend of tart/sour/sweet and enough tequila to suit my picky taste.

Been lurking for a while, time for introductions! =)

1. Suz_and_Kirk (Susan & Kirk)
2. Lancaster, Ohio!
3. Never been to Mexico (Suz), but Kirk was there about 5 or 6 years ago.
4. We love the beach, and I'm looking forward to going snorkeling for the first time! Guess I need to practice in our pool over the summer, LOL!
5. Love pina coladas and sweet fruity drinks. Love Jamaica smiles!

We're making it an annual tradition to go somewhere warm during Christmas break. Last year (our first full year together as a couple) we went to Jamaica. SO fun to be somewhere warm and tropical when it's cold and yucky here in Ohio, LOL! This year, we'll be going to Akumal. Can't wait, the area looks beautiful!! =)

Hey all, just joined this forum, seems like a fun way to pass some time.

Name is Paco

From Chicago (North 'burbs)

I've been to Cancun area about 20 times since 1989...been to Riv Maya only 3 times, but really love the area. We're on our way back in about 3 weeks for a quick anniversary celebration 4 day, then in July for 10 days with our two kids...there first time to MX. I am jonesing for the overpriced little bar outside the exit from the airport where the busses are....breathe the tropical air, feel the heat and grab an ice cold XX and a tequila rocks. Ahhhh, 25 dollar round for the wife and I, but at last, Mexico.

LIke snorkel and scuba, love rotting on a beach or in a pool with a cold beer, and love my morning michelada...no guilt, it's vacation!!!

Actual favorite....I love a good margarita, a tequila sunrise is great, but really enjoy good reposado tequila on ice with a squeeze of limon and splash of soda...no soda? Hay no problema Amigo, con hielo solamente.
