3. 10 or 11 times at AI from Cancun to PDC. Finally got off the reservation last year and went off the grid in Tulum. Quite a difference from the AI scene but loved it. Visited Akumal twice and are planning to stay in condo there in May. Not sure why it took so long to branch out except we traveled a lot with friends who loved the AI.
4. I am a novice snorkeler but would like to have a chance to get more experience. I will be counting on lots of advice from this site.
5. Mojitos, margaritas, cuba libre, I love them all!

Hola Gringos, let me introduce myself. Eagle Cheesehead a.k.a. Ron & Renee'. If you didnt guess yet we live in Eagle, Wisconsin U.S.A. Yes we are still bumming about our beloved Greenbay Packers. We have been to Akumal 3 times and will be returning on the 15th of this month. Cant wait. The snorkeling and the chilling on the beach will be our main activity, we plan on taking our three daughters to the Hidden Worlds adventure park one day. We have never done this tour. Does anyone know if it is worth it? Also the ruins will be a destination this vacation. Now the best part ... we are from Wisconsin so you know we love the beer, but nothing beats an ice cold margarita. See you at Lol Ha.

HI Elle from Boston here,
My husband and I have traveled all of the western coast and most of the Riviera Maya.
I've traveled most of the Caribbean, but Akumal is our favorite place by far.
We are headed back in November for our third time. We're bringing 6 of our family because they're heard us rave about the people and beach.
We're scuba divers and dive with Akumal Dive Shop they're fabulous!
And we have stayed in the Las Casitas each time, this next trip will be in the Cannon House on the point.
Can't wait!!

Several trips- different parts of Mexico. Going back March 16th to Mayan Riviera( the day before St Patty's day!! Bring on the green cerveza )
Snorkelling, seeing new sites, meeting great people, refreshments
Margarita (early in day)......moving on to beer ( then MAYBE back to Margarita)

Can't wait to get away, get some sun and enjoy the amazing country. We sometimes opt to go somewhere else, but Mexico is the tops for me!!

Hey, y'all. PammieJean here. Call Houston home. Been to Cancun and Riviera Maya many times. Spent a day in Akumal last Sept. Ready for more. Tend to drink wine since mixed drinks make me nervous. (Can react to the sugar.)

Hi, I'm Frances, long time lurker on LG. Husband and I and 2 small kids moved to Canada 2 years ago from the UK. Big time travellers all over the world and given our location in Europe, Asia was a relatively small "hop". Have been to Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Hong Kong. Then moved to Canada to explore more westerly shores. Have now been to Belize and Akumal, currently booked for Cozumel in March 2012. Loving the LG website, used the booking section for Akumal last year, and they really helped us get some money back when the a/c unit at a special place packed in!!

I don't remember introducing myself... I've been lurking on this board for what seems like years now. :)
1. name or LG board name - Trudi - CheekyMonkey
2. place you live ie: state/territory/country  - Chicago IL
3. number of visits to Akumal/Riviera Maya and when you are going back - Well, I've been there 14 times, from Cancun to Tulum. Going back March 23rd.
4. favorite area activity - Hmmm that's like asking what my favorite song is. I'm a huge fan of the beach and the food so from tulum puebla to playa..it's a tough one!
5. favorite vacation drink - I'm a tecate / sol gal... an occasional Margarita here and there.

My first entry to the Blog. ( or any blog)
I am Steve from Colorado Springs, with my wife Marie.
visited Akumal 5 years ago, now coming back with some of our kids in 2 weeks!
We will stay a week at the Casa Gatos.
my favorite "bargain" tequila is Cazadores Reposado. Top shelf would be Don Julio.
Looking forward to time with our kids, snorkling, time with our 2 year old granddaughter on the beach, and sight seeing.
This trip, we plan a lot of Snorkling, and would like to try some Kayaking as well. Love to bike, and wander a bit as well.
Didn't make it to Talum last time, and will check that out as well.
Comments, or suggestions?
Thanks

Hello, all! PammieJean here at home in Houston. Stayed in Cancun 4 or 5 times and Playa del Carmen twice. Took a colectivo to Akumal last September and loved the snorkeling. Headed to Akumal annd ABR for a full week this September. (Need to figure out how to add the timeine.) Favorite activity? Sun, sand, swimming and snorkeling! Favorite drink? Hard to say. Love me a good margarita but am just as likely to kick back with a glass of vino.

Welcome to the forum pappa Steve. There are a bunch of us here from Colorado. You will get lots of good information but I would suggest that you ask your question as a new post rather than on this thread. That way more people will see it to answer your questions. Don't worry, we have a great group and they will be glad to help out a new member.
