Just wondering if there is a place in Akumal or the Pueblo for a mans haircut?

Yes. Go to the street pass Tequilaville and make a left and then another left around the corner from the old barbershop in the Pueblo and then a quick left up/down some stairs. Or go to Tequilaville and ask Ken for the directions and he will give you a red cup with beer to drink while you walk over to the barber. My hubby did it in September. Nice job for $70 pesos.
