Have never been to Soliman, but from most of the photos I've seen, it looks somewhat shallow with a combination of rocks and reef. Not sure. I do know that this is what you'll find in South Akumal.

For just getting out and being in the water, the stretch of beach from where the Moonrise used to be on down to the Lol Ha as a nice sandy bottom.

Where do you swim at Soliman beach ? or where can you swim at Soliman beach ? Chemuyil beach is the best!

Gary - is there any place to acess Chemuyil beach other than via the Bahia Principe resorts?

Gary, is Chemuyil beach the small bay just a short walk south of the Grand Bahia resort? I have been there many times , last year I spoke with a man that knew the history quite well, very interesting

Xcacel is a wonderful public beach. No amaenitys other than a pay toilet. Costs a couple dollars to get in, but well worth it. Skip it if its windy, though...

True that....but love it when its windy too. Bogey boarding is better here than Tulum.

Soliman Bay is a wonderful bay to swim. Entry is through paths through turtle grass, or beach side further north.

Only been on South Akumal once and don't recall how the entry is there
