Are the overpasses completed on the highway?
We'll be driving fron Cancun airport to our resort that is located
between PM and PDC.
Any good grocery stops along the way? Don't really want to go into
PDC if we can avoid it.
Also, where is a good first stop for fish tacos( or something equally
yummy) and cold cervezas??

Yes-overpasses done--Soriana is on the right so very easy off and on even though it is PDC. Not sure about comida further North but Mariscos has awesome fish tacos and a full menu. they are just N. of La floresta.

Yes on overpasses. Very nice large. Chedra store just before the overpass going by Puerto Aventuras. Great selection of food drink alcohol etc.

I beg to differ on the Super Che at Pto. Aventuras. It may be handy bot if you really want a nice selection of everything you are much better off shopping in Playa. Soriana is really very easy to access. It sits right at a stop light so dealing with traffic is easier.

Here's another vote for Soriana. Much better than the Chedraui in Pt. Aventuras and easy to get in and out of. Only potential place that would be better would be Mega on the east side of 307, but Soriana wins for ease of stopping.

Does the Soriana have an ATM?
Good beer selection?
We like to buy quarts of different kinds.

^^^^ Several ATMs, and a couple of bricks-and-mortar bank branches in that mall. If you get a whole whack of 500 peso bills and want 20s and 50s for tips, you can go into the bank and they break up the 500s into smaller bills.

Beer (and wine too) selection at Soriana is very good.

Really didn't want to drive past our resort to go shopping but sounds like it will be worth it.
Is there still an ATM at the building where Cancunrentacar is located?
We've always used it to get our first pesos to start the vaca in Paradise

Just remembered that there's another Chedraui at the North end of PDC just off the Arco Vial (not too far from where the Arco splits off the 307). If you are based in PM and want to avoid go through PDC, it might be the best solution. Lots of beer selection and ATMs/banks at that mall too.

It's in Plaza Las Americas. It's at 75 Ave Norte

Yes, but liquor and beer sales will stop at either 2 or 4 pm depending on the store

We do Soriano and get our pesos out at the bank there. That new Chedarui along 307 is north of PDC...looks huge and can only think perfect for you. The new one in Tulum is friggin awesome

We are stopping for groceries with USA Transfers before heading to Half Moon Bay. I was thinking of stopping at the Super Chedarui in Puerto Aventuras, would you recommend the Soriano or the new Chedarui north of PDC more? Also, we will be getting there about 5:30 PM so I guess beer will be out of the question?

Get an earlier flight

It's up to you....but the new Chedraui north of PDC allows you to run all the overpasses and zoom right pass PDC. Our next visit will be there as our bogey boards are secure in SB. I have no idea about pesos access there. Assuming an ATM available for sure.

Hoping others set "you, me, them, everybody" straight.
