This was brought up on FB, as someone posted a pic of the guac cart at Margaritaville.. What's your "go to" at the airport?..Do you go pricey? ..or opt out for a bagel at Starbucks?..if I know I've been upgraded and have a meal, I eat my airline food, other than that.... last trip..it was 22bucks for 2 beers..

..What do you do?

We do Starbucks & bagel. We do sometimes splurge & have a Bloody Mary on flight to Cancun once we get to our ride out we stop & get some cervecas for ride to the condo.

JM, we stop at this place after leaving the airport and again before we fly out. Prices have gone up a few pesos since I first posted the menu, but you can still get a great sandwich for under $3 US. Once past security at the airport we do buy one overpriced drink to share and then eat our yummy baguettes.

Food court is usually the opposite direction from the gate I fly out of, so I just suck it up and eat at Margaritaville, never had the guac there though.

Last time we ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. It was they along place serving breakfast, which is why we opted for this particular restaurant. . It wasn't cheap, but the servings were HUGE! The wait staff was extremely nice as well. I ordered a glass of milk and planned to give it to my daughter. The waiter took her bottle and warmed the milk and filled the bottle for her. How nice!

The restaurant prices at the Cancun airport are outrageous! We usually don't eat there and just get by on snacks! The Charlotte airport is cheap in comparison

How much was the guac, Kwing and was it any good? Last time I had the Cheeseburger in Paradise, 160 pesos but one of the biggest burgers I have ever seen with tons of fries. Really good too.

I second the vote for this place. Good score mr. badger. My driver had not heard of it, but the smell made it so he said he's definitely gonna try it!

Not me... my name should be Chica Barato! LOL I have been known (every time I fly! ) to take mini bottles with me (perfectly legal - at least to TSA). I also eat before leaving and take some snacks. I look at the menus, but then decide I'm not really hungry, and my snacks will be fine. My flights are only ~3 hours now that I leave from Charlotte, NC, so it's not a long wait..

We did Bubba Gumps last time and it was good, but insanely expensive. More often we get sandwiches from the "Grab & Go" and take them on the plane. They are usually very fresh and good.

We blow the last meal at Bubba Gumps: One appetizer (very rich rice and shrimp w/ garlic bread) $8 and one shrimp main course. Two pinot grigios, one beer. Bill: about $50 w/tip. The shrimp dishes are rich and at times I haven't been able to finish mine (the appetizer.)
