**** Goods has a Pentax WG-2 16MP waterproof to 40ft. digital camera for $189. Looked at Amazon and it gets pretty high reviews and is $75 more at Amazon. Just a head's up. If anyone has experience with this one feel free to comment. It just looked like a good deal and I now folks are always looking for an inexpensive waterproof camera.

ORIGINAL: Vancouver Sundog Sounds like a great deal Here is a good u/w comparison http://www.digitalcamerainfo.com/Features/2012-Waterproof-Camera-Showdown/User-Experience-and-Features.htm Nice to read this review after having bought Marguarite the Oly TG-1 for Xmas. Had an older Pentax and for the life of us, cannot find it anywhere. Of course she sez I lost it, and of course I'm admitting to nothing. Mostly want to use it (or have her use it) topside around water like in a snorkel / dive boat, but she may want to use it snorkeling. Also have a UW backup with housing - Sea and Sea DX-1200HD - and thats been a great cam. Probably safer for UW. And of course I always need to relearn how to use the Canon T1i w/ Sea and Sea housing stuff. TMB

I gotta say I really like mine. It has a boat load of functions is easy to use and a good size. I left the download port open once when I went out to snorkel! Thought it was dead. Dried it out and took photos without a screen functioning, then brought it back to Colo dried it out more and now it works just fine!

I had one that leaked on the 3rd day, sent it back, pentax sent me a brand new. Said to be careful closing the doors where the card and battery go. My fault , but still gave me a new one. I have used it now on our disney cruise and have great photos of us swimming with sting rays, fish and lobsters. But am thinking of getting a gopro camera. One can never have to many cameras. My wife collects coach purses, I collect camera's. Funny, she uses my camera's but I can't touch her purses. LOL
