Just an FYI to all the folks in the Roo now, I just read this in Por Esto online. All or most of the banks will be closed tomorrow for the feast of The Virgin de Guadalupe. So do your banking today.

good to know. do you know if this feast is also the reason for the bike and run 'torch relays' on the highway? we are here every year at this time. In past years, it has just been runners. This is the first year there are also caravans with a cyclist with a torch on the back of the bike.

Verano , we had a great dinner in Chemuyil at La Palapa a while back . Valantin the owner sure made the celebration on the 12th in Chemuyil sound pretty good with a lot more going on there than on a regular night , He said there were costumes and dancing and an all around good time . I'm not sure about Akumal pueblo but probably good there too . Cheers
