You picked a perfect time for your vacation!!!!!
Hopefully you missed the big storm and arrived safe. But sometimes you need to know what you are missing at home to make it even a bit sweeter!

Its a high of 13 degrees today and we had 8-14 inches of snow.
We were there last week in Akumal...picked the wrong week!

Fortunately for us here in Northern MN the bulk of the snow went to central area of MN thoug hwe got the cold temps had minus 13 below zero this AM. Really looking forward to end of Jan when we head there for 2wks.

BRRRR We didn't get much snow either in our area but man did it get cold! Weekend before last it was close to 60 and I washed all my windows in a tshirt.... Now sub zero in the morning :( Only thing keeping me going is thoughts of the beach in just less then 8 weeks.

I must be weird but we enjoy the winters up here in Bayfield, WI. Winter has changed dramatically over the last 3 or 4 decades and for the most part is pretty mild compared to when I was a kid. Lots of snow added in with an three or four blizzards and temps below zero are talking points now rather than the norm. People have become soft.

We put in our time snowmobiling and shoveling snow then head off the Akumal in April.

Perfect.
