Crunch always comes in late with the reports, but they are so worth the wait. I think we can count on trip report just before her next trip!

Yay! Nothing better than a crunch trip report with lots of food porn (although Beach Beagle does a pretty mean one also), looking forward to it arkansasgal, I also have to wait until May, when are you going? Probably will book airfare in Jan-Feb. Gas prices are dropping here in SoCal, but the airlines buy their fuel on the futures market so it can take up to 90 days for the prices to drop (or rise).

Jamie: Hey YEAH! I can't wait to see their trip report. That food porn makes me so hungry. I know how sad Crunch y Tomas must be coming back from paradise. We are planning on going somewhere around April 24 for hopefully 2 wks. It'll just be whichever departure day has the best $ when I go to book, as well I want to fly out early non stop if possible.....and the latest flight back on our last day, even if we have to connect. Maybe everyone can read our preferences and advise: I am not sure where we are staying, yet, but I have several plans in mind. Perhaps one week on Isla (the second week) and the first week maybe at Catalonia or somewhere new. *I do like AI and the beach is most important for us, my hubby like to have rooms on the beach. We could care less about pools. *Adult oriented but none of that weirdo nudist bullcrap, just prefer no children running around screaming crying and throwing things. *My husband works on his feet all day in the heat and cold, so we would like to be able to eat in A/C and have good AC in our room. *We need top shelf tequila, even if we have to purchase it in PDC. But would be nice to at least be able to tip for drinks made with it. *We are not trying to make friends on vacation and do not understand people who complain they can't find americans to chat it up. LOL *We don't mind walking, we are healthy and athletic. We like to find a private spot on the beach and usually walk a good bit to find our spot. *We loved Catalonia Royal, El Dorado Maroma *We do tip well and really appreciate great service *We don't dive, swim or snorkel. We just love the beach and we love to get in the ocean and cool off. No iron shore, please. We will be booking in late February, so any experienced advice will be considered

Gurl, I usually go early May but this year may go mid-May for 10-11 days with hopefully 3 at the end on Isla Mujeres. So many good restaurants there, so little time. Hoping for a sale at ABR. I have not been to other AIs than ABR but CRT has always looked interesting to me. dona0706 did several reports on their recent trip there, down toward the bottom of Page 1 in these forums. My problem is the single supplement is so high. Have a great trip.

Yeah, the reason I never booked CRT directly was the price. Then, we got an opportunity to transfer for a free upgrade due to a power outtage last time at CPM, and we really loved it. I still say the beach at CPM is the BEST, and am frequently questioned why I think that by people have been to both. Maroma beach is just stunning, its that simple. But, the room at CRT was nicer and the service was better....and the buffet was A/C so we didn't die of a heat stroke whilst trying to eat like at CPM. My last trip report incorporated our 3 days at CPM transitioning into another 7 days of our free upgrade to CRT. We had a lot of mishaps that trip, but had nothing to do with how fantastic CRT is. That is important to discern. Still eagerly awaiting crunchy's trip report. But good things come to those who wait, I suppose I think it might be fun to end the trip at Isla Mujeres, due to its proximity to the airport. I have never been to Isla and it sounds way cool. quote:
