I've spotted (on google earth) a smaller lagoon just north of Yal-Ku. Has anyone been there? It seems untouched. Is it accessible? Worth a visit?

I figured that we might walk there from Grand Sirenis.

Hi Camie,

Yes, it's called Yalku Chico! You can walk there from the resort. Just head south along the iron shore. There's seldom anyone there... great place to hang out and go for a dip!

I've been there. Our fishing captain took us there last year for a snorkel. Nobody there but us! Kind of like a mini-Yal Ku. And Scott is right, it's south from Grand Sirenis. Looks from the aerial photo it wouldn't be a far walk for you.

Camie, it is wonderful! I have videos of it on photobucket . I'll post a link later. It is about a ten minute walk south from the disco at Grand Sirenis. I think it is my most favourite spot on the planet . Take water. You will want to saty forever. I watched a Bare Throated Tiger Heron from about 20' away, and swam with the fishies to cool down. We are hoping to find a way to it from HMB this spring.

Sounds great! How would you get there from Akumal Bay? or Yal Ku?

Thanks!
Chilly

I'd like to know too.  Will check it out in a couple weeks

Any tips before would be awesome though.

Cheers!
