when is it cheapest to book an excursion? at home before vacation or at the resort? what's the best company to use if you do book at home?

I agree with crunch, you might get a discount for booking online, but what if the weather is bad or you do not feel like it?
Lots of stuff you can also get to on your own either via colectivo or taxi if you are not comfortable renting a car, just kind of depends on what type of stuff you want to see and do. Have a great trip
